In case you read this patonius, I have to give you credit for your reads and how you dare to play back even for huge pots. Not many nl400 players are capable of these kind of moves.
Let me win next time tho when I actually do have a huge hand

ahhh well .. a lot more where I'm a 60pct favorite and lose.
When I have AK and they have a pair, then I miss.
When I have a pair and they have AK, then they hit
If by any chance I do hit an A or K while holding AK then they either have AK themself OR hit a set!
And I'm always hitting the top of their range as well

/whine

Someone kill me now

Running like crap in 09 so far. I'm around $5k under EV at nl400, pretty frustrating.
I also bought Aejones' Memoirs so I hope this downswing stops like right now cause my roll can't afford much more ..

I'm going to some private wellness center with my girlfriend later today, so hopefully that will recharge me and hit the boomswitch.

In random order:

- earn a nice amount of money at 2/4 and hopefully move up as a regular to nl1k(+) somewhere in 09
- be on my A-game as much as possible when I play
- reach supernova for the first time in my life
- buy aejones videos (will do that when my roll hits 20k)
- play less donkaments!
- not deleting database like I did in 08 everytime I blew up
- try to improve as a poker player as much as I possibly can
- maybe learn Tai Chi
- maybe stop smoking? (regular cigarettes, I'm clean from drugs!)
- enjoy my lovely girlfriend!
- get my dog trained really well
- start my own small business (no idea yet what exactly)
- get more healthy (better sleeping shedule, working out, eating well, ..)
- keep my blog active

That's about everything I can think about. Yall have a great 2009 and enjoy your 08-ending party!

Boy o boy I came a long way and I did a lot of stupid things. I think I screwed up my roll like 4 times due to some degeneracy. Whenever I finally had a playable roll for nl200 I often tried switching sites, putting $1k on different sites to try out the software, going on softwaretilt and spewing it off at nl1kHU.

I also got scammed a couple times (people not paying me back a loan, people running of with stakes, ..)
My partypoker account got hacked as well, I had my entire roll on there back then >.<

Luckily my last 2 months of 2008 were a lot better on a mental aspect (one tiltblowup tho, costed me a couple thousand).
I managed to move up in stakes and really enjoy playing poker again. Hopefully 2009 will start with where I left; a good clean mindset and the will the dominate!

I'm going to my girlfriend now, we'll be having a christmas party this evening. Tomorrow will be christmas with her grandmother, afterwards with my grandparents and the day after will be a christmas party with my parents. So not much poker will be going on next few days. When I find the time I will write up my 2009 goals!

I wish you all the best of luck in 2009, both in poker and in life!

FINALLY, I have a new laptop! I always used to play on a desktop but now I can lay down with my dog while I'm playing, love it

Took me so long for this laptop. I first bought a Packard Bell laptop in a big computer store (not really close to me). When I got home I realized something was wrong so I had to drive back to get it fixed. It took them around a week to get it "fixed", so I got in my car, back to the store and home I went.
I install everything again, go to bed and notice how it's still broken the next day that I wake up. RRRAAAAAARGHHHHH - had to go back to the store. Being pretty pissed I enter the store, bring in my laptop, get it checked again, week later, same store, nadanadanada, ...
3rd time and it was STILL not fixed! "corrupt image" error at startup, some other boot errors, I went mentally insane.
Made a couple mad phonecalls (after an hour I finally had the correct person on the line). They would take care of it with Packard Bell and let me know what kind of compensation I would get by the end of the week.
Saturday evening ... I call to the store to find out the woman fell ill and someone replaced her, but she wasn't there anymore so I had to call back on monday.
Had to bring in my laptop so they could send it to Packard Bell cause it was a production mistake. Surprisingly enough they didn't just give me a new laptop and it took them 7! weeks before it was back in their store.
So yesterday I picked up my laptop, got home, and guess what?!! IT WASNT FIXED!

Today was d-day for me! I woke up early and went to the store (for like the 6th time, 2 full gastanks already) and said: "I'm tired of this bull****, I aint leaving till I have a new laptop" (in dutch then LDO).
A lot of talking, people talking to other people, people making phonecalls to Packard Bell, ..
After like 30 minutes they told me I would get a refund ticket in a couple days by mail from Packard Bell and they would give me a temp laptop for now.
Wasn't really happy but told the guy I guessed it was all I could get. The guy went back to find a temporary laptop and I said to myself "hell no, that aint good enough, not gonna drive back another time".
Guy came back and that's what I told him. Another half hour passes with phonecalls going on and then he brings me the good news. I could get a refund ticket right now from their store and they would figure it out later with Packard Bell!

So now I have bought a Sony Vaio, not a single moment of doubt of rebuying a Packard Bell laptop ..
That store won't see me again, that's for sure. If I wasn't so persistant then I still wouldn't have gotten a laptop and probably be driving back and forth a couple more times.

Now I can grind on my laptop and I really like it. I don't have AIM, MSN, winamp, ..
Nothing that can distract me! Fully focused on my poker and I'm playing less tables. That should improve my winrate for sure (hopefully ).
Cause the sceen isn't as big as my desktop screens it's also harder to constantly browse leggo, 2+2, watch movies, watch pron, ... so that's another thing that won't distract me.

Another pluspoint: I don't have betpot yet on my laptop and I won't install it either. This will make sure I think about the hand more, look at the board texture and villain, .. without just blindly mashing that potbutton

See you at the tables! And when I see you, I'm probably laying down with my feet up in the air!!
(long post, probably tl;dr, but I hope I didn't make too many grammatical mistakes. My way of English writing probably sounds whiney, but if you make it to these words, then I can safely say the post is over!
