Hi everyone! My name is Marinus, I'm from Germany and I'm 19 years old. I still go to school and I've been playing poker since I turned 18.
I grinded up from 5nl to 600nl (taking 1knl shots) in approximately 6 months, but lost my motivation for some ( unexplainable ) reason and went from 60-100k hands/month to almost none. I tried to get back to the grind a few times, but after a few bad sessions everything else seemed to be more important. I wanna keep the cryin' about the old times pretty short, b/c in this blog it's about my comeback.
I decided to make my way back to the midstakes 2 or 3 months ago, but after a short time poker took lost priority (again), but for a good reason this time. I graduated from school and I learn all day, everyday for quite a long time. Luckily it worked out pretty well and I have I am really confident at the moment, which hasn't been like that all the time.
Since July I finally had time to use my best-focus-daytimes for poker and I made plans for my comeback. A few prior points are:
- Handreview for every (!!!) session
- only cash in $3k on stars, so I have to make my way back up
- no tableselection
- no grinding while tired, hungry, tilted b/c of other thing, or unfocused
I've been playing 100nl on pokerstars for 1 month now. I play 9 tables and mostly start them by myself to get better at HU and I don't leave them even if only good regs join, b/c I want to beat everyone who I possibly face at that limit and not bumhunt up the limits.
I'm about to leave 100nl, b/c I have a comfortable bankroll for 200nl and I feel confident enough to face the new challenge. I alrdy took a shot, but ran pretty bad (rather cold) and decided to go back to 100nl for a few sessions until my bankroll is up to $10k.
100nl:
Alright. That's it for now. See u at 200nl soon, hopefully.
