Its midnight in europe and I'll (hopefully) leave 100nl for the last time. I havent slept for 40 hours straight, b/c I had to look after my grandpa last night (I will post about that another time ) and when I came home at 7am I decided to not sleep and reset my sleeprythym to a normal time (0am-9am or sth).
--------------------
Like the headline says, I am about to leave 100nl for greater challenges. I have been grinding a lot the past month, I was very focused almost always, I didnt deny challenges (playin even the worst tables at 100nl) and I am very sure that I was able to improve my game in depth. I have become a lot more aggro, thinking and my hand-reading skills got a lot better, which results to me feeling confident enough to trust my reads and play accordingly. I think I reached my goal of being able to play 9 tables for hours and not autopilot!
I wont change my style and my habits on 200nl. I will start all tables by myself and play anyone who joins as long as I am 100% focused. If I get owned, thats the price I pay for getting better. Not reviewing espeically such losing sessions or HU-machtes is burning money! I am looking forward to meet a bunch of new regs and my goal is to note every single pattern and get decent reads, b/c I think if u can beat the regs u play against for an average of 500hands per day, its hard to not beat the limit.
My goal is/was to become a player, who is rly difficult to play against, b/c he's mixing things up, balancing ranges and switching his style from one extreme to another. I am always keeping an eye on the general reaction of regs vs my 3bets, flopraises, cbet etc. and my goal is to react accordingly, which means that I (1) can nit or open up extremly vs specific regs and (2) go from one extreme to another in my general style (openingranges, barrelingfrequencies etc). I have faced a lot of players who sat on my left for many thousand hands and I the got the best out of me so often. I want to be such a player aswell. I am pretty sure (at least I hope so) that there are at least a handfull of regs, who are happy to not see me every day at the tables anymore. =)

Alright. Good luck me for 200nl! :P Take care guys!

Hi everyone! My name is Marinus, I'm from Germany and I'm 19 years old. I still go to school and I've been playing poker since I turned 18.

I grinded up from 5nl to 600nl (taking 1knl shots) in approximately 6 months, but lost my motivation for some ( unexplainable ) reason and went from 60-100k hands/month to almost none. I tried to get back to the grind a few times, but after a few bad sessions everything else seemed to be more important. I wanna keep the cryin' about the old times pretty short, b/c in this blog it's about my comeback.

I decided to make my way back to the midstakes 2 or 3 months ago, but after a short time poker took lost priority (again), but for a good reason this time. I graduated from school and I learn all day, everyday for quite a long time. Luckily it worked out pretty well and I have I am really confident at the moment, which hasn't been like that all the time.
Since July I finally had time to use my best-focus-daytimes for poker and I made plans for my comeback. A few prior points are:

- Handreview for every (!!!) session
- only cash in $3k on stars, so I have to make my way back up
- no tableselection
- no grinding while tired, hungry, tilted b/c of other thing, or unfocused

I've been playing 100nl on pokerstars for 1 month now. I play 9 tables and mostly start them by myself to get better at HU and I don't leave them even if only good regs join, b/c I want to beat everyone who I possibly face at that limit and not bumhunt up the limits.

I'm about to leave 100nl, b/c I have a comfortable bankroll for 200nl and I feel confident enough to face the new challenge. I alrdy took a shot, but ran pretty bad (rather cold) and decided to go back to 100nl for a few sessions until my bankroll is up to $10k.

100nl:

Alright. That's it for now. See u at 200nl soon, hopefully.
