This weekend I went to Lexington to see/visit the Sigma Nu headquarters and other historical sites. Friday we left around 4, got up there and pretty much just chilled. Saturday we woke up in the morning adn did some volunteer work which involved moving some mulch for this creepy kids garden place. We then toured downtown Lexington, VMI, and Washington and Lee. We came home late Saturday night and I insta passed out. Sunday was spent at an IFC meeting for most of the day, then came home and played some poker. I am about $2200 below equity this month which is pretty blah. I'm having an ok month, but I'd like to put some more hands in to keep on track with my yearly goal ($60k, $5k/month). Played 1300 hands tonight and made 3.5BIs which I will take considering the past few sessions. Hopefully I can keep it up.

So I played two sessions today. The first went well as I was sitting in my office hours (TAing) getting paid to play poker. I made ~2.5BIs at 200nl in about an hour. I later came home and put a decent session in but got railed by the poker gods. Ran a solid $1,400 under expectation in only 1500 hands. Thats nearly 1$/hand under expectation. LOL. Still only lost ~$450 on the day, but still pretty lame. Here's a few beauties:

Oh well. Probably won't play tomorrow. We're playing FSU here. Tailgating starts at 2:30, but I get out at 1:30 so I'm gonna start drinking early. Look for me on ESPN at 7. Hopefully I'll make it to the game and not be too intoxicated. That would be immature. HAHA

So I have a few blogs on my Google Reader but I want a lot more. What kind of stuff do you guys have in yours? I mainly have the blogs I read from here and DC, a few random poker player blogs, and one comic strip. I want to branch out and broaden my horizons on any topic. Can you guys give me some links/RSS feeds/ideas? Thanks

...suck. I really hate Monday's with a passion and today was no exception. To begin with, I have class all day, from 11-5 on Mondays. Today, I get to my 11:20am class a little early because I rode my new bike from the parking lot for the first time. I sat around for a few minutes reading the newspaper when I look up to see no one in the class but me. I immediately realized I forgot this class was cancelled today and tomorrow this week. DOH. The day dragged on like usual, until I finally finished up class. I then had a fraternity meeting and was elected Social Chair by my brothers which was pretty exciting. So now I've got that on my plate as well. Came home around 10:15 to watch the tail end of MNF. I really dislike the Giants for some reason, so I was cheering for Cleveland who pulled the upset. Loaded up some tables and played for a little while. Managed to win a BI at 1/2 over 850 hands. Not bad I guess. Wanted to play more but have to get up at 8 for my "real" job in the morning. Don't know if I've mentioned it, but I am TAing for a Java class here at NC State. Rolling the big bucks too, right at $8.75/hr. SHIPITHOLLA.

So NC State's fall break was this Thursday and Friday. Wednesday night I just chilled with some friends and got pretty drunk....ended up passing out on their couch. Thursday I went home to chill for the night. Played a few hands of 1/2 and 2/4. Ended up dropping like 800, mainly from 2/4 where I lost KK to AA aipf and KK to 88 on 789f. Friday I came back to Raleigh for a little bit before heading to Wilmington for the weekend. My brothers chapter of Sigma Nu and UNCW throws a pretty big party/fundraiser each year called Full Tilt. Basically its a big tailgate with bands and lots of drinking. Unfortunately the weather wasn't in their favor, and the event had to be postponed. Pretty disappointing considering 20 of my friends from Raleigh came down Friday night just for this event. Because the event was cancelled, my brothers fraternity decided to have "Half Tilt" at one of the brothers house, which was basically a **** show. Started drinking around 2 and didn't stop until about 12 hours later...long day. I ended up going back to this girls place and chilling with her roomates for a little bit. Now this girl and I have messed around a little before, but nothing crazy. I thought maybe this time I could get finally get over the middle school ****, but no she had other ideas. This song instantly popped in my head while she was trying to do her thing:

Oh well, maybe one day girls will stop acting like theyre still in middle school. Came home today around 7. Cooked some spaghetti and watched some football. The Panthers got dominated today which was pretty disappointing considering the hype after last weeks blowout. Hopefully they can get it together next game. Fired up some tables around 1130 and played until 2. Ended up getting in a little over 2k hands and won 4.3 BIs despite a few gay hands:

UB, $1/$2 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

SB: $122.80

UTG: $42.90
Hero (MP): $323.75

Pre-Flop: K K dealt to Hero (MP)
UTG folds, Hero raises to $7, 2 folds, SB calls $6, BB raises to $28, Hero calls $21, SB folds

Flop: ($63) J 6 5 (2 Players)
BB bets $44, Hero raises to $295.75 and is All-In, BB calls $151.80 and is All-In

Turn: ($454.60) 7 (2 Players - 1 is All-In)

River: ($454.60) 4 (2 Players - 1 is All-In)

Results: $454.60 Pot
BB showed AA and WON $451.10 (+$227.30 NET)

And another:

SB: $271.65
BB: $803.55
Hero (UTG): $214.45
MP: $176
CO: $323.30

Pre-Flop: 4 4 dealt to Hero (UTG)
Hero raises to $7, MP folds, CO calls $7, BTN folds, SB calls $6, BB folds

Flop: ($23) T 3 4 (3 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $21, CO calls $21, SB folds

Turn: ($65) 3 (2 Players)
Hero bets $54, CO calls $54

River: ($173) J (2 Players)

Results: $437.90 Pot ($3.50 Rake)
Hero showed 4 4 and LOST (-$214.45 NET)
CO showed JJ and WON $434.40 (+$219.95 NET)

Got class all day tomorrow (fml on mondays...have all 4 classes I'm in), but I hope to get some hands in tomorrow night.

So my subscription at Cardrunners expired and I have opted not to resubscribe because it simply wasn't worth it. The only videos I ever watched were CTS's anyways. But for those of you who don't know me, I am a sophomore at NC State University. I am a UB reg and play from 1/2 up to 3/6. Lately I haven't had much time to play due to school work and the fact that I am helping recolonize the Sigma Nu chapter at NC State. I've probably only played about 1.5k hands this month. My goal this year was to make $5k/month and I am right on track, but I will have t pick up my play for October to stay on track. I'm going to try and update my blog regularly so check back frequently.
