Hmm just a quick update to let all my loyal readers know that I am still alive and fill you guys in on what I've been up to:

Moving:

Moved in to my new place in Leeds last week. It's been quite hectic and has involved a lot of lifting things (although strategically avoided the worst day for lifting) up numerous flights of stairs. Most of the hard work is out of the way and the place is fine to live in now, it just needs some personal touches to give it a bit more character and make it feel a little more homely.

I've been working on that this weekend and bought an awesome print of a divi divi tree for my office and a great framed photo of some king penguins for my bedroom. The office space has no natural light which is lame so I'm trying to get some relaxing lighting, bright pictures and maybe a few plants to make it feel a little less dungeony (?). Desk shopping was a pain in the ass and I looked around everywhere and eventualy settled for a decidedly 'non-baller' rectanguar plank of wood with walnut finish. I was seriously pissed off with the whole process of live shopping and just thought fuck it lets keep this simple, right size/shape I'l take it. When I actually fiiiiiinnallly made my decision we were told it wasn't in stock and I'd have to wait 5 days for it to ship. On top of this I had to deal with a guy who wasn't the sharpest knife and was clearly new to the job. He was stuttering about on the computer as I told him just to get it sent to the shop and I'd pick it up when it came in (delivery fuck ups/confusions are the most tilting thing ever) and this was apparently a little hard to make happen so he had to get the manager involved. A good 45mins later he finally let me give him some money and we could get the hell out of there just in time to walk out and see the security guy laying a ticket on my dads car since it was parked there too long. Wtf is this?! Your shop has restrictions on how long I can look around and spend my hard earned money?? Anyway luckily the security guy was cool and squashed the ticket but wow the look on my dads face when we walked out the shop was pricelesss.

Poker:

We've been able to pick up an ok unsecure connection this past week which has been fine to check emails etc but not really too happy playing on it. Having said that I do need my degen fix every now and then and I've played a few short mid stakes sessions and am up a few k for the month so thats nice.

I've mostly just been trying to get out and play live every night. It's tough because there just aren't any good games around here other than a private 2/5 game at naps on Monday night which often plays 2-5k deep as the evening progresses, probably try and get in that this coming week if I am feeling it. In donkament news I went to play dtd £300 deepstack last weekend and came 7/340 for a little over £3k. There were some hilarious pwnstick wieldings and probably 2 or 3 horror spews on my account, I might mention some hands in a later blog but this is lazy blog so no hands I'm afraid. Not decided if I'm playing EPO yet, it coincides with the 2100 PLO wcoop which I'm fistpump playing so I'm not really sure how I can work around that yet. This Sunday I'l prob set up the 30" on the kitchen table and grind donkaments for 12hrs, go hungry, piss in a bottle and lose 4-6k, wouldn't have it any other way.

Tomorrow I'm going to the races in my homeland Doncaster aka Don Vegas aka The D aka Doncatraz for the annual St Leger meet. It's the oldest horse race in Britain and is a pretty big event for the town so I'm looking forward to going to my first ever one (haha I like the way I make getting drunk and gambooling sound like a minor result of me deciding to go). Anyway should be fun and so long as I don't use Little Daves 'press' strategy I shouldn't lose tooooo much.

Idk what I'm doing with coaching, I'm going to include some thoughts on it and making videos for leggo in my next blog when I feel like I can write something a little more srs bizness. I have a good idea for the strategy forum which revolves around live poker though, so be sure to look out for that!

P.S. I like Bobbo have seen the film District9 and can confirm that it is terrible. Almost worth a watch it is that bad infact.
