Last few days I've been doing all sorts of dumb stuff, playing 25/50 fr and 6max, 200/400 limidonking and my staple; 2/4nl. Think I should prob start taking things a bit more seriously or I will probs go busto. I played like I was drunk at 2/4nl and I'm pretty sure I have one of the most retardedly spewtard images at 400nl which is cool although a little worrying b/c it's true when I'm not concentrating/bothered and playing like I did today. So I moved up to where they respect my raises at 25/50nl but unfortunately they didnt so I lost about $7.5k there. Then I got a pair a few times at 200/400 minbetting so I managed to win some money which made me a little less pissed off about the whole day.

I think I'm going to cut back the playing hours the next few days before I go skiing on sunday. I have some other things to work on and it's prob best if I'm not donking about in games I'm not rolled for so if I do put in any hands it will be either at 400nl or 1knl if the games look good.

Here's a really rough spot at 25/50 fr vs holl@yoboy, I concluded he was turning hands in to bluffs here/vbetting worse too much to c/f and I think c/c is prob better than betting to induce and bet folding just sucks imo.

I've been getting in to the routine now of playing 7/8 tables of cash with a couple mtts going in the background. It really helps me not do dumb stuff in the mtts and it's always nice if you can finish up a session of cash and be deep in some tournament because been deep in tournaments is pretty good fun.

I usually start up around 19:00ET and load up the $100 freeze, sometimes the 100r at half past and then the nightly hundo at 21:00. All the while I have 2/4NL tables going and fill them up so I play 9 tables max including the mtts. The other night I final table bubbled the 100frz after been chipleader with 10 left (cl doesnt really mean much though unless its huge as everyone has 20-30bbs or w/e). I shoved KQo over btn open 5 handed and lost to AQ and then got dealt QQ next hand but somebody else got dealt KK so gg standard donkaments.

Aside from this mtting I took a shot at 5/10 and it didnt go well. I think I was a little FPSy at the start and I lost a couple buyins where I didnt really need to. I pulled it together a bit after that and started playing pretty good but unfortunately ran like ass getting set over setted, 3 outered/coolered all over the place. So similar to my last shot at 5/10 I lost around 10k which sucked to say the least. I played a little more today and made 3.5k but lifetime I'm something like -15ptbb/100 over 5k hands which is fairly brutal.

This evening I decided to drop back to 2/4 and get some mtts going. Made about $1200 over 1500 hands and managed to go deep in the 10r 55k guaranteed. Ended up 2nd/1757 for $8624. Shame I couldnt win it but fortunately the payout structure wasnt really dumb like a lot of these things and 1st was only 3k more or something. I got hu with a 2-1 chip disadvantage, got back to around even then he started 3betting (big) my btn opens (I was opening pretty much every one because he had been pretty passive) and I had nothing that resembled q hi to 4bet shove with. I guess I could have done it with atc but whatever. He got me back to 2-1 and then I got in with 55 vs his K7s and lost. Still, 8k kind of cushions the blow of getting my ass handed to me at 5/10.

That's about it for now, pretty pleased with the mtt score (argh wish I could say win) and cruising at 2/4 although sucking at 5/10. Hopefully I can work on a few things the next few months and make the transition. Oh and finally here's a pretty entertaining 2/4 hand:

After playing these sats for the last week I finally managed to win a main event seat, buying directly in to a really soft step 6. There were 2 guys, ryanghall and jorj at the table who are very strong sng players, one guy busto_soon who I think plays a lot but doesnt play sngs that much and the rest were pretty much donks. I thought I was going to lose heads up when A5<Q9 aipf ftw but then rallied with two nice suckouts Q9>K9 aipf and A5>66 aipf. Don't know if I am going to play yet, apparently poker sites can't buy their qualifiers in any more so they just give you the cash, so I might just take the $10k. With this in mind they are offering a few nice incentives for you to play and wear PS stuff, such as a week at the Palms, upgrade to suite for supernovas, cash bonuses if you're at a TV table, and they also already outlined their final table incentives on the website (not that this will matter most likely but its cool that they are setting that out in advance rather than doing at the time). Anyway it will probably depend on if I can get a group of my poker playing friends to go out there for a few weeks, I think it would be a great time so hopefully people will be available and up for it.

Aside from that I have been playing some 400NL but have only logged about 5k hands this month because I've been busy with other things. I'm up just over 10buyins which is nice and am running the games over pretty good. The only problem I'm having is playing redargoe who is the number one most annoying P.O.S reg at 2/4. He plays good and very tricky, somewhat differently to a lot of standard 2p2/cardrunners types. What makes it more annoying is that he is at every single fking 400NL table every day for like 10hrs so if one of you pros would make a vid and explain to me how to pwn him that would be excellent.

Hi all, just joined leggo looking to improve my 6max unlimited hold them skills. I play mainly 400NL on stars and spew a lot.

A little background info on my poker career so far:
I have been playing poker around 3 years and started winning online at low stakes sngs at the beginning of 2007. I bought a sngicons subscription, worked on ICM a ton and worked my way from 6's to 114's+ in about 10 months. When I got to the higher stakes sngs I realised my edge wasn't that great. The games were packed with winning regulars and my actual ROI in those games was probably <5%. This meant huge variance and the need to put in a lot of volume as well as constantly studying hand ranges and EV calcs in poker stove and sngpt. With a decent bankroll from my mid stakes sng grinding and a few mtt scores I decided to take a dive in to nlhe, straight in at 2/4NL after studying the game and watching cardrunners vids.

I am nearly up to 50k hands, half of which are from last month as I have moved up to 9 tabling where I previously played 4. Here's my lifetime 2/4NL.

It dates right back to when I started getting serious about poker and it's interesting to look back at those entires and see how much my take on the game has changed to where it is now. I hope to use leggo as a tool to network with other players (partly why I moved the blog) and improve my game to stage where I am beating 5/10NL for a decent winrate by the end of the year.
