prop bet day whatever. advice to microstakers

Doing great in the prop bet, started playing 12 tables, cash across nl25 and nl10, going to switch to nl25 and nl50 rly soon, although today i got slaughtered for 4bi losing every 70%+ all in and also a pretty huge pot with nfd+oesd vs a fish (ended up c/f a horrendous river 220bb deep), according to EV should've finished the session up a bunch, but oh well, i don't put much stock into "running good/bad". Anyway, the centerpiece of this post is a piece of advice to all microstakers:
  • play deep tables and always buy in for 200bb deep - you have no idea how profitable that is and light ppl pay you off. Just play your normal game and never slowplay nuts or near-nuts, nl10 or nl25 200bb deep don't require any specific adjustments. And don't stack off with QQ or AK 200bb deep.
  • start 3 barreling in limped pots when draws missed or board runs out high-card high-card - they fold a lot
  • start 3 barreling boards not only on J-A, but any card higher than the board's second card, if they call turn - fire safe rivers
  • never ever exclude A or Khigh from pretty much anyone's range on dry-ish flops.
  • bet/check bet is NEVER a bluff. but don't use it yourself because they don't know that and will call you light
  • there are so many draws in their ranges on most flops that it might make sense to barrel your second pair on certain boards on a blank turn and check river
  • don't defend your opens vs 3bets IP like it's your job. They don't fold much in 3bet pots, they fire questionable barrels, and don't pure bluff enough for your wide defending ranges to show profit. So far i've been folding to 80% of 3bets and running in high 19s ptbb
  • people don't adjust. period. stop giving them so much credit for bluffing/valuebetting thinly or adjusting to your high % of cbet raises.
  • don't 3bet a wide range unless in BB vs SB or BTN vs CO scenarios, they don't fold enough.
  • Instead start floating and raising cbets A LOT more often especially on dry boards - 80% of ppl there cbet 80%+ and have no idea of what you can represent
  • don't wuss out with AK pre if you get 3bet. 4bet and get it in - they do 3bet bluff and even fold JJ/QQ to 4bets (if it goes like CO/HJ raise-3bet-overcall just shove it in 100bb deep unless one of them is a ridiculous nit like 13/7 or smth)
  • know your value spots - A7 on J74r is NOT a good hand to raise a donk bet. AK is NOT a good hand either. 85s, though, IS a good candidate
  • it's okay to raise weak draws IP and OOP vs 80%+ cbettors - they fold a lot! it's okay to c/c and float with them too as pf caller
  • don't get scared away by raises on A or K high turns when you barrel - from what i've seen these raises from fish are quite likely to be dumb bluffs, so i would never fold a TP there (if anything, they call with turned pairs a lot more than they raise them, so their ranges get a lot more polarized)
  • run more pokerstove sims, don't be lazy - there's a lot of stuff you've never even thought off that makes you really passive with fairly huge hands. And screw balance, if you have A9 in BB vs BTN on 9T5ssAo board 150bb deep - just c/r and stack off

Nice advices, unfortunately for me I know all that and a lot more. I think this prop bet would be a waste of time for me, and I'm sure it is for you too since you seem to have a lot more money than me.I would like to see some thoughts about leading and avoiding re at micros from you.

i'm doing it for fun, plus an added bonus which i can't talk about right now - read about the reasons in some of the earlier posts.

leading is a waste at microstakes (they don't fold enough, don't give a shit about ranges or folding anything) in HU pots, but seems pretty sweet in multiway pots, although most spots to lead are pretty standard (3way pot, you're first to act, fish is next and reg last - you can lead mediocre hands that figure to be ahead of the donk's range and expect the reg to play straight-forward etc). if anything, it's worth starting to incorporate leading from the blinds at nl400. Hint: if you want some food for thought on leading, buy some 500\1000 hh's from PTR and see what durrr does - very entertaining stuff.

didn't get "avoiding re" thing, but in general up to nl400 all you need to do is limit the amount of your own mistakes, since at nl10-nl100 everyone is terrible postflop, at nl200 they are overly aggro in all spots, so the best way to adjust is to dumb your game down, at nl400 you can still encounter some terribad regs, but most ppl's leak at nl400 is giving too much respect to each other's game. It's like blowing each other, but at a poker table. So creative/non-standard plays at nl400 and above earn the most money
