We are waiting for the boat / bus trip that should lat till 6 am tomorrow (starts at 2PM today). Kinda looking forward to BKK, more reasonable prices for shelter and better food there.

Railay has been nice but it's pretty relaxed and we have done it all.

We got to play with a tame infant monkey today. It's mom was hit by a car and someone adopted it. Cutest little fucking thing ever. It was 1/2 bald cause it did not even have hair yet.

After doing some visa extending stuff in BKK as well as the zoo and palace maybe we will be heading the the Chang Mai. Once there we will be trekking and running the northern Thailand streets.

Lost, Robin and Oord are coming out in the beginning of March and it looks like we will meet them in BKK and then travel south to Phuket and just see what happens from there. Robin does have a notoriously bad track record of being able to distinguish a man from a woman. I am more than a little scared for him.

So far the trip has been good. Over the last year I have been getting Norcal fever and just aching to gtfo of dodge. 2.5 months in Thailand should cure that and I already look forward to getting back and not living out of backpack. That said, I am really looking forward to the next two months and this is def a great experience. Home is sweet though. mexican food. toilets that are separated from the shower stalls. having more than 3 shirts to wear for the next two months.

Jordan and I have both lost weight and have tanned up nicely. We will both be in pretty awesome shape when we get home.

Days are blending together as I knew they would. It seems we have been here for 7-10 days but it's actually something like 20.

We spend a lot of free time talking about what meal from home we would have if it were available at that moment. Mine is more often than not a burger with pastrami on top, a "Best Burger".

I just closed youtube in the middle of uploads so you get a video playlist that is about 3/4 of what we planned and it might appear that we talk about stuff that was never shown.... and thats because I failed today.

if the video does not click to the next one in the playlist then click on the next highest avi number on the rirght.

hopefully vitas fixes it for me because i cant figure youtube out and this shit has cost me a ton already since it takes for fucking ever to upload a damn video when ur on an island.

ok tata.

Looks like we will be staying on Railay for a week or so, we both really like it.

The vibe is pretty sweet. Rasta / Thailand / backpacker / rock climber / everything laidback there ever was. I spent some time here a few years ago and a lot has changed. there are a ton more peple here... the beaches were almost empty when I was here last. That said, there are upsides to more poeple being here including a better nightlife scene.

We went to this rasta bar and watched a pretty amazing show. It was a guy and a guitar but he kept calling to everyone else to sing or w/e they wanted to do. Eventually he got a professional drummer and singer out of the audience and they jammed for over an hour. Truely a great show and night.

Our days are mostly spent on the beach lounging around. We are also spending some time reading books and eating takeout on our back portch which has a great view. The rest of the time is spent deciding where to eat or buy a beer and hang out. I have not played poker in two weeks and it feels pretty nice.

We went to the west side of the island for the first time today and were almost attcked by monkeys (should be in the video uploaded with this (fingers crossed)).

Over the next few days we have a couple hikes planned. One goes over a huge limestone cliff into this lagoon an the other goes to a desolate part of the island where a lot of pro rock climbers stay for the good climbing routes or w/e.

We arived in Phuket yesterday after getting out of Samui as fast as possible.

Samui is a total shitbox full of old white dudes trying to get down on some young tang. It was pretty gross to see this weird mix of business and pleasure between local girls and lonely men. I am much more comfortable with straight up prostitution. I felt dirty watching this hybrid mix of w/e the hell it was. the beaches were also terrible, no shopping, no good (and cheap) food, nothing.

We got scammed on the way to Phuket by the guy running the van into the city for 300 bt each.

Phuket is pretty cool and will probably be where we meet up with everyone in March. It is expensive though. We searched forever and finally found a room for 600bt a night ($18), almost everything else is 1K+. Food is also more than in BKK and street vendors are not as plentiful.

ME WITH LADY BOIS

JORDAN WITH LADY BOIS COMING SOON! (longer video but the cafe is closing so I has to go)

We are leaving BKK tomorrow for Ko Samui. Just going to hang on the beach and chill for a while (weeks probably). From there we will be heading to a jungle trek in Chaing Mai, not sure when we will actually get there.

Looks like we have to do a visa run to Laos and we are both looking forward to it. Should be cool to see a more 3rd world country and then bounce back to BK for some good street foods.

I feel like I had a ton to blog about but am getting bloggers block atm.

We did go to JJ market today and that was pretty col.

Kao San is getting pretty old though and it will be nice to get out of here.

Sukumvit is also col and malls here are infinitely better than anything in the states. Two words. Food. Court.

The zoo will be visited at some point before we leave. We are also going to the palace but putting on long pants is something to be avoided at this point.

Met some interesting people from around the world but have mostly kept to ourselves and just bummed about.

The videos worked and then stopped working so idk, try at your own risk.

VIDEO OF JORDAN IN JJ MARKET

ANOTHER VIDEO OF THE MARKET THAT MIGHT NOT BE AS COOL AS THE FIRST MARKET VIDEO THAT YOU JUST WATCHED BUT HERE IT IS ANYWAY.

So we have been here for three days and it's awesome, as expected.

I came here a few years ago and a lot has changed. A lot of places have toilets that can flush toilet paper and guest houses provide towels now. The downside is it's even more touristy than it was. I love it though.

The first two days we hung out on or around Kao San Road (sp?). Indulging in various street vendor foods and drinking smoothies all day.

Today we made our way via cab to Chinatown after trying to catch a bus was an epic fail.

I just deleted the sentences trying to describe what Chinatown is in BKK. I either can't do it or it would take too long. Pretty insane amount of commerce going on there. If there was a school binder that you had in third grade with some obscure super hero that you never thought you would see again, I promise it is in BKK CT. It is probably next to a guy that sells 6 quail eggs for less than a dollar and a store that sells only baby shoes in packs of 6.

The first two nights our room was terrible. Black mold was absolutely everywhere and there was literally a fresh shit stain on the bed. Jordan smelled it and it was def fresh shit. I thought she might back out of the whole damn trip at that point but she toughed it out, washed her nose, and we got a better room today. Minimal mold, no shit anywhere.

I tried to get up to date on the forums just now but it seems impossible. Normally I click on every new post just as it's posted. To reach the level of trolling I expect from myself would take hours at this point. I have got a few PM's and responded to the threads I was directed to, that's about all I can do though.

It just started pouring rain and we have to get some coconut soup. Hope everyone is doing well.

I found Leggo when Nutedawg told me about it over a year ago. I was so impressed with the videos and instructors that I wanted to be a part of it. Unfortunately nobody knew who I was.

I spent the next 6 months spamming Greg and Tickner. Between begging to be a part of the site and giving unsolicited advice via multiple PM's they eventually caved.

Greg and Chris slowly brought me along and kept increasing my role as time went on. I worked at Leggo without pay for over 6 months, just happy to be a part of it. I was excited that I could work with Greg, Seabeast, Aaron, and all these other great players. I just wanted to be a part of the tribe.

People told me I was crazy to put in the amount of time I was with no pay and no guarantee of future compensation. It did not really matter to me at the time. I wanted to help shape Leggo and make it even better than it was, or as good as it could possibly be. I was being rewarded by seeing some of my ideas being used and getting to interact with my idols. I also had faith in Greg, that he would treat me right, and he always did. Free coaching, eventual payment for services, promoted me to COO and changed my entire life.

I have been treated very well and never thought I would ever be in a position like this, helping to run a successful company and being a part of something I truly love and believe in. Unlike most LeggoPoker guys I never went to school, I dropped out in 8th grade never to return. That makes an opportunity like this even more special and valuable.

There is a laundry list of people that made this possible including Greg, Tickner, Vitas, Aaron, Jordan my Dad and a shit ton of other people who I will not list for fear of leaving people out.

It has not all been roses. I constantly fuck up due to never having done anything remotely resembling running a business before. The guidance and patience of the people listed above and others that have gone unmentioned has been invaluable, irreplaceable and appreciated.

I will still be blogging over the next two months and will be trolling on a severely cut back schedule. Sorry for the super emo blog post.

Everyone have a good 2010

Boywonder is going to be making videos for Leggo. For those of you that followed his posts over on 2p2... you are already excited. For those that didn't... here you go.

Really happy to welcome Ben to the team and can't wait to ship his first video to you guys. It's a 1/2 pound video on Ladbrokes.

Today I had an interesting experience at ToGo's while obtaining (means getting) a Cobb Salad.

The girl needs more egg so she tells her coworker to get some. While delivering said egg the coworker suggests she drink the egg juice for $5. So you know, ToGo's gets their eggs in a clear plastic bag with 8 whole eggs in it, there is about 3oz of egg juice in the bag.

Girl flat out refuses $5 to drink the egg juice so I auto add $20 to it, making it $25 total. She is still a no go but Guy says he's a go for $20. I refuse knowing I am being taken and offer $10.

After many assurances that I am not going to take my $10 + Cobb Salad and run he mans up and drinks the egg juice for $10.

This brings me to the main question of this blog. God knows there has to be a point or certain people will get mad at an overactive blogger with nothing to do on a Sunday night.

Did I pay this guy $10 because I wanted to see him eat egg juice?

Did it make it better to talk him down knowing that he would not do it for a penny less?

Did I buy a part of his self respect?

I think it's none of those and will make my bold assertion here.

I did it for him, her, myself, and all of mankind.

Here is what the $10 did for everyone present at the egg water eating this afternoon.

Guy: Knows he can do more than work at ToGo's. Can step up to the plate and do unpleasant things when required. Has $10.

Girl: Knows the a defining moment in her life has passed her by. Maybe this will prep her for a future moment where she can step up to the plate. Saw a coworker and friend make more of himself ( and for himself) by taking a non standard life line. More respect (but also jealousy) for her coworker.

Me I got to make someone realize what they are capable of if the situation calls for it. I made him realize his potential. Made Girl realize she needs to man teh fuck up of opportunities (life) will pass her by. Free large soda.

Other people who were not even there for this event: Happier ToGo's employees that have been broken out of their daily routine potentially delivering a better made sandwich with a bigger smile. The ripple effect of this event can not even be estimated and no one will ever really know what I have accomplished today. Did I save the world? Maybe.

In closing, we don't prop bet to see people eat egg juice we do it to help people. If this costs us money that's something we have to accept in order to help others realize their true potential.
