Haven't update for a while and its prob because of the reasons below...

Last 50k hands at 100NL have been brutal. I went from a 5 BB/100 winner down to 2 BB/100 winner this year at 100NL. Sucks cause I felt I was ready to move back to 200NL. To add to the crappyness the downswing decided to happen while being backed. I always feel horrible about losing while being backed. hopefully my backer doesn't decide to drop me cause I really want to prove to him and myself that I can crush 100NL. Here's the graph of my 100NL play this year.

IPhone should finally be here on Monday. Me and 3 other friends of mine decided to go under a family plan and get the new Iphone. It's only going to be $60 a month which is pretty awesome since a lot of my other friends pay over $100.

Also in the looks for a 200NL 6 max backer. Decided that playing backed is the best option for me atm. Have a couple offers so far but going to wait a little longer. If anyone knows anyone backing let me know. My 100NL graph is 2 posts down on my blog.

So I decided to end my staking agreement a little over a week ago. Which left me $500 after cashing out some funds. It's currently at $1200 after playing a mix of 50NL rush, Cap games, and MTTs.

The question I'm asking myself is should I continue to grind at the micros to build a roll to play 100NL or should I look for a backing deal at 200NL. I think its real important to play on my own dime but I also think I'm going backwards as a player instead of improving.

My initial plan was to grind my roll up to $2000 and just play 100NL but with that plan I most likely will never get to 200NL with occasional cashouts. I was a 4 ptbb/100 winner at 100nl for the last 100k hands and between those 100k hands I played 100k hands of breakeven 200NL after rakeback. I do have the experience playing at 200NL and I also feel I've improved as a player to beat 200NL for atleast 2 ptbb/100.

Let me know what option you think is better. I'm leaning towards playing backed just because I want to be playing 400NL by the end of the year.

I was going to post this when I got finished playing 100k hands but FTP is down tonight and I got bored.

I know technically It's not 5 BB/100 but with rakeback it's higher than 5 but

hopefully I can go on a heater for my last 3k hands and run 5 BB/100 without the rakeback added.

I'm pretty satisfied with my results this year at 100NL 6 max. The crappy part about this is that this is only around 2.5 months worth of hands. I moved up and played 100k hands at 200NL and lost 3k so who knows what my profits would have been had I stuck with 100NL. Another crappy part about it is that Im staked because I'm too much of a life nit to play with my own money but I got a cool backer/coach so its all good.

I think Lebron should have gone to the Bulls (celtics fan)...

I'll update when I hit 100k hands.

The past 2 months of poker have been pretty non-existent. The weather finally started to get decent in New England and spent more time hanging out that grinding. Just moved back from school so I've been hanging out a lot with my friends which is always good. I'm going to push for a decent amount of hands this month and hopefully turn a good profit. I'm really excited to continue coaching with Ssells on Leggo. Worked with him a couple months ago and looking forward to improving my poker game.

I also just started up crossfit which has been pretty good so far. I'm 6' 2'' and 180-185 lbs. I've been lifting at the gym for the past few years on and off and it doesn't look like im out of shape but since I was always trying to gain mass I always neglected cardio. This has brought me to where I am now. 23 yrs old with 130/87 Blood Pressure. I know this isn't horrible but at my age and weight I should def. be at 120/80 or lower. I did a little research on crossfit and really liked to idea behind it even though a lot of "bodybuilders" are against it. I figured I could sacrifice a little mass to get fit. Anyways, I started up last week and the workouts are brutal but I really like the group atmosphere and I feel great afterwords. Doesn't hurt that one of the trainers is sexy as hell and some of the other girls look real nice working out.

June Goals
- 50k hands of 100NL 6max @ 2-4 ptbb/100 (moved down after 90k hands of breakeven 200NL)
- Continue coaching with Ssells
- Review hands
- Watch more vids. Really like what I've seen of Steel108s vids.
- Make some monies!!!

Heres a quick overview of what crossfit is:

Starting to look for places online and actually going down to Boston in the morning to look at a place. I decided to live by myself in a studio instead of having roommates. Its going to be a lot more money but after living with 4-9 people these past 5 years in school. I think I need to at least give living by my self a try. I also have a lot of friends that I went to school with in the area and my girlfriend too so its less likely ill go insane. I'm looking to move in June 1st so hopefully I can get lucky and this studio will be what Im looking for.

I also might get a part-time job which sucks. I lived solely off the poker monies this past year and it was awesome but it was really stressful at times when things weren't going right. So having a job might ease some of the tension. Anyways it will be a good way to get out of the apartment since its pretty much impossible for me to play more than 6 hrs of poker a day without going insane.

thats it for now. if any of you guys know boston or have any advice let me know. ty

Its starting to get nice in new england so of course poker has taken pretty much a back seat for the past month.

My old roommate has been making some nice deep runs in some big tourneys but taking some brutal beats that probably have cost him thousands of dollars. He made a deep run in the $55 rebuy 6max SCOOP event and got 2 outered in the $320 Wednesday 1/4 mil at the final 2 tables for a top 5 stack. Its funny because he's never had any coaching other than when he used to watch me plays $12 180 mans. I think he would be an awesome player especially at the 6 max tourneys but he's pretty much a degen and he fullrolls to play tourneys like the $320 1/4 mil. I'm sure he would be great if he had a proper roll because he is relentless in MTT's.

Life Stuff - Went for an interview for a grad program and will be hearing back from them memorial day weekend. That will decide if I live in Boston or not. So I'll prob be pretty stressed until then. I don;t want to jinx it but Ive already been looking at places in and around boston. Really trying to figure out if I want to live by my self and pay more or get a place and have roommates and play less. The cheapest ive found are $800+ studios. So prob spending around 1k including utilities.

Other than that i'm looking forward to getting back into the grind and breaking through 200NL.

March was pretty mediocre poker-wise. I had a few 1k sessions but I also had my biggest losing day of my poker career at -$2700. The downswing pretty much killed my motivation for volume for the past week of march. I guess I have to think on the positive side of things and figure I still had a winning month. The one thing I took away from that -$2700 day was sometimes having a stop loss is a good thing. When I look back on that day I remembered running into coolers and losing flips a lot and not playing noticeably bad. But sometimes its just best to quit and take the day off because grinding that money back is tough.

Anyways going to try to get decent volume in for April but its going to get tough with the weather getting nicer in New England. Also, I should find out if I will be living in Boston for the next couple years which should be exciting. Here's my graph for March. FUUUU downswings.
