Song to listen to while reading
Only 7 more nights and we're flying to Vegas baby! I really can't wait, hopefully it will be sort of a turnaround moment for me because poker has been going so shitty the last few months and I can really use a change of scenery and possibly play some live cashgame poker as well. ![]() I've been thinking (and talking with timoshi a little) about what I want if poker keeps going this bad and to be honest, I don't really know. I hope it turns around soon. And if for some reason it doesn't I might just move down to 100nl and 200nl and play there again for a while. I still don't see myself getting a real job anytime soon but the prospect of moving down further isn't very appealing either. I have some more thoughts on this but will possibly post those later..... One thing I'm getting set more and more on is the idea of living for 3-6 months in a different country after I get back from Vegas. And that would most likely be in Malta for multiple reasons: 1. Everyone speaks english. 2. Been there once and liked it. 3. No taxes on Poker 4. Not to expensive 5. No visa required 6. Fairly easy to go/do. What I've been thinking about doing is renting a 2-3 bedroom appartment in Malta and then that other pokerplayers who want to get away from home for a couple weeks or months could just room with me. I know some people who would be interested in staying for some time so the question would probably be if it would be a house/appartment for 2 or 3 people. If there would turn out to be serious interest in this it might even become just a pokerhouse with lots of people changing through the months! I know that I get extra motivated to play more when I'm surrounded by poker players so I'm pretty sure this will be good for me poker-wise! Since it's all pretty unclear on how this will unfold I'll get back to this later. Today I sweated Timoshi playing HU and unfortunately it didn't go really well, we made a couple of mistakes but also run pretty bad in a ton of spots, getting no action on big hands and them making hands everytime we made a move, so that really sucked but I'm sure he'll grind it back in no time! I also finally saw the newest Star Trek movie with my father and really liked it. It was funny because he obviously knew the Star Trek a lot better then me since I wasn't even alive when it first came on tv. It was funny that Leonard Nimoy actually played old Spock! The movie theater was pretty empty, only like 9 people (one female). So if you haven't seen it and you have nothing against sci-fi you should prob go see it! ![]() This weekend I've also seen: - UP (newest pixar movie, didn't really like it as much. Wasn't really that funny and never felt a connection to the main character) - Thank you for Smoking (fairly decent/funny sort of docu movie about a lobbyist for smokers) - Mean Creek (Pretty meh movie about kids doing something they're regretting.) Plans for tomorrow: - Get a haircut, let her also shave my beard that I grew this week just so I could let the barber shave it. - Get videocamera back from ex so we can have some awesome vegas-movies (which I'll put on the blog) - Go Bowling with roommates. - Watch a pokervid - Watch a movie (any recommendations?) Instead of a youtube link I'll end today with a funny picture. ![]() Robin out
