Just watched the first two episode of this new show and must say that I like it sofar.

The first episode was about living from the sea and they show many different ways of catching all sort of fish, including catching a whale in just small wooden boats with sticks.

The second episode was about life in the desert and what you have to do to get water there and it was just great to see different cultures in a very well filmed documentary imo.

I've seen planet earth but think I like this even more.

Will post more news on future travel plans soon. First upcoming trip will be skiing in Austria for a week in februari, very excited to go again because I missed last year while traveling.

Robin out.

Sounds like my cup o' tea, although a whale isn't a fish

That's true. But the whalefish is a deep sea fish, and I'm guessing they didn't catch any of those.

Sounds cool. What makes this better than Planet Earth?

This is such an amazing show. Enthralled for the full hour of all 3 episodes so far. It shows how humans have adapted to live in the most extreme conditions. I wouldn't say it's better than planet earth but it's on a par with it definitely. Big respect to the BBC for constantly financing these documentaries.
