Today I went to play squash with Denny (The_end), Oord and Jan. It was pretty good, they were fairly decent for having never or almost never played before. We played mostly doubles because then we could all play at the same time. If anyone ever wants to play/challenge me to a squash match let me know Hopefully I'll have a video up of me playing squash in the nearish future so you can see what you'd be up against .

Since I got kindof tired fingers from playing Guitar Hero I figured why not play some poker again today and I played only HU with a mix of 400nl and also some 200nl because at 400nl lots of regs refuse me action but at 200nl it seems like everyone wants to play .

So taking a win today is good again since I already lost some money in 6max earlier this month! I think I'll focus alot on HU, also because in vegas I plan to play mostly on my laptop which makes it hard to multitable anyway.

I did have one funny hand at 200nl where I decided to fuck a little with someone who I thought was a reg, I 3bet him the first 3 times he opened at the beginning of the match and then our 8th hand this happened:

I did win with a FD+gutter vs a set today so I can hit a draw again!

As you could've read yesterday, I went out to buy some slippers today. Since I came across a videogame store I decided to pick up Guitar Hero Metallica.



Didn't do much else today except play Guitar hero. So this will be my shortest blogpost yet.
Can't wait until vegas though! less then 2 weeks and we're going! Def want to see some shows again.

It's finally here! A new season of Wipeout.
All easily watchable on youtube but to help you guys out a little here is a direct link to the first episode of season 2! Definately fun to watch! Great to also watched the first season if you have never seen that.



I really wish I could participate on that wipeout course, would be so much fun to compete against friends! I would bet sick amounts of money on it as well Well maybe one day...

Haven't played poker yet today and will probably not play but watch a HU vid. I did go out swimming and I sucked at making it 50m, I wasn't even close this time, a little over 25m I think. So I have to think about that a little more, maybe practice breathing more because as expected I didn't do any practice with it after the first two days

Plans for tomorrow:
Get some slippers because I keep stealing my roommates ones and they're not even my size but with the weather being so good I just had to! Although the temperatures will go down alittle in the next few days I will need slippers for vegas anyway!

After running bad (well I guess I should call it normal by now) on 6max again and been having more fun at HU the last few days anyway I've decided to focus on HU for the next few weeks. Hopefully that will work out a little better.

Since poker is not going well I'll stop talking about it because I know reading people whine about poker is annoying

edit: One last thing I wanted to say about poker is that you can get an instant $2400 bonus on stars for 150K fpp. I'm about 4K fpp short so I'll get those and get this bonus .

I played squash again today and feel like I'm really improving, hopefully I'll be able to play some squash/racketball in vegas. I've never played racketball but heard it fairly similar to squash so if anyone's out in vegas between june 15- july 15 let me know and we should play.

Tomorrow I'll go swimming again, I'll try for the 50m underwater again, so I'll see how that'll work out, if I have enough energy left I'll go play squash again in the evening!

Well today really sucked poker wise. For some dumb reason I thought it was a good idea to play some tournaments, the main reason being that there was an 50K FPP qualifier for the WSOP ME where 2 seats where added. Well somewhere at the beginning this hand happened:

So after that I was kindof annoyed, especially since I then lost AK vs KK in the 109,single rebuy. Then proceeded to lose AA vs QQ in some random donkament, and managed to get to the top 250 of the 10r where I lost AK vs 55 for an 2x avg stack. Well I'm definately done with tournaments for a couple of months again. It seems like I have this stupid idea every half year where I think it's a good thing to play tournaments. Luckily it always only lasts one day and then I realise how much those things suck!
I might play a live tournament in vegas but not sure yet.


Did not play cash today so no updates there, although I think I'm going to focus a little more on HU, but will still be playing alot of 6max. It seems like I'm fairly decent in HU but never play it that much because the swings can be so much bigger, however I can't imagine a bigger swing then the one I'm going through right now so why not give it a go



I played some squash again today and am feeling really good about it now and really feel like I'm improving alot more since I've lost the weight and hopefully that will continue. After that me and my roommates went out to relax in the sun and get some drinks. Was pretty fun and also got talking on how many 5-year-olds we could take on.



We're not really sure on it yet so I'll have to get back to you guys on how much we think.

Other then that not much happened today so I guess I'll just end this blog post with a video of something I want to do but probably never will because I'm to afraid to do it.

Had a busy day today, I'll start with the poker stuff.
Played a mix of HU and 6max, and was playing HU vs the biggest donks ever, which made it quite frustrating when you keep losing every single pot vs them for a while, stack them, and get stacked again by the most ridic hands. But ended up a BI today so I'll take a win anyday!

I did play 3 tables of HU at the same time because I was waiting at empty tables and 3 huge donks sat at the same time, I think it's better for me to just quit one of the tables because it really costs me even when they are so horrible if I can't focus I won't be able to see how I can own them in the best way. So even when everyone is so freakishly horrible it will be better if I just lose one of those tables and I'll start doing that from now on.


Non-pokerstuff, I went to utrecht today to visit Joris and just basically hang around there for a while, after strolling down the streets we settled at a nice restaurant where we sat for a couple of hours and got some decent food. I must say that I really like the warmer weather, lots of good things to look at
After that we played some pool where I actually won for a change, I usually get second because Joris is a little better but luckily it's sort of like poker where you can just win by getting lucky!

Hopefully the weather will continue to be like this until we go to vegas! Actually dreamt about vegas last night but since all sort of weird shit happened in that dream I won't post that.

Today I played some of the pokers, ran ok and won a couple hundo's. I'm not sure if I should use this blog to discuss/post interesting hands. I think I'm going to avoid that for now unless people would like me to do so.
I like playing some HU vs donks and playing few tables of 6max. Until I go to vegas I'm at a table-limit of 4 which will be really good for me because then I'll be forced to actually pay attention to shit and possibly learn something again

I also did some poker-related stuff with Matt yesterday and it was good, we haven't really finetuned what we're doing but I'm feeling good about it and hopefully it will be something that will increase our winrates alot and that will bring us to the higher limits. I just gotta make sure I keep doing it and not slack off, but I'm sure that matt is feeling the same so we'll just work to motivate each other on it!


As for the non-pokerstuff, haven't thought about whether or not to accept the swimming sidebet but it seems to be a good deal for me whether I win or lose it anyway so I'll prob accept. I'll probably go swimming again next week so I'll tell her it's on... I haven't done the breathholding today, so I'll go practice more tomorrow again!

Something totally unrelated, on googlemaps you can search if 'something' is near an address, so I've checked whether there are quizno's near our vegas house and there are a couple within a 2 mile radius so that's a good thing. If you want to search for it go to maps.google.com and then enter "quiznos near 'address'". So if you ever want to know if something is close just use google, you can also enter stuff like 'steakhouse' etc


I was browsing some youtube today, a great way to spend hours btw and came across this clip which is pretty cool: America's got Talent clip

For some reason I decided last night that today I was going to have a really unhealthy food day today. I think because I was so happy with the amount of weight I lost I figured I would be allowed to go crazy one day... so I did... Feeling miserable now because off all the unhealthy food I ate. I guess it is good that I feel this way so I won't do this too often. Starting tomorrow I'm going to get 2 more weeks of very healthy living in. Hoping to lose 4 more pounds so that I've lost 30 pounds before vegas.

I'm just such a sucker for chocolate muffins:


But after today I think I've had enough of those for quite some time even though I still have some left (yes I really went allout today ) so I just gave them to my roommate and his girlfriend.


PokerWise I watched some vids today, I liked Isura's, how to learn video. Def some stuff in there that I should be working on. Even though most of the stuff I/most people know it's good to hear it again because even if you know what you should be doing it can be hard to actually do it.

I also put in a couple hundo hands, first played 2-4 tables of 6max and watching every hand which I enjoyed more then I thought because previously when I played so few tablesI would get bored but not today. Then I played some HU where a fish donated some money. And I'm ashamed to admit it but I also played a donkament today, something I've sworn against. It was the 10r on stars and I got somewhere like 150th of 1800. Was still kindof happy about it. Might start playing them a little more, especially if I'm playing few tables of cash.


Now for the non-poker-related part of the blog (yes, I know the food part was not very poker-related either). I'm thinking of making a bet with a girl I occasionaly swim with whether or not I can swim 50 meters (about 165 foot) under water. I tried it earlier this week and made it about 35 meters which I consider to be pretty good, because I didn't swim at all the last couple of months.

So in order to kindof train for that I've been trying to hold my breath using This online stopwatch . For some reason I made it 2 mins 14 sec yesterday but am unable to reach over 1:30 today.
Anyway, if I do take this bet I basically get to pick whatever I want if I win. So that's def +ev, and if I lose she wants me to shave, get a haircut + take her out to dinner+movie. So I guess that won't be that bad either, although I haven't decided on what I want if I do win. (any suggestions?)

Today was pretty uneventfull. Went into the city to buy some new pants because I've lost over 25 pounds in the last few months (propbet ftw). After that I played some sports (squash) and watched the movie: Frost/Nixon, it was ok, nothing exceptional.

In poker-related news, last week I asked if people could find ways to motivate me because I wasn't running very well and needed some extra motivation. Luckily Denny (The_End) came through for me:

As many people before me I've decided to start a blog.
Still unsure of what I will be posting here exactly but I will try to make this an interesting blog and will not only post pokerresults but also other things on my mind, or things I've found in other places that might help others as well. I think I will seperate each blog into a poker and non-poker section.

I'll start off with some pokerwisdom that I encountered while searching for new motivation to put in hands because of not running optimal the last couple of months.

This is something I had forgotten and have now accepted again. I felt I deserve to win money when playing with droolers, but the reality is that there will be days that no matter what you do you will lose.
