Been here for almost two weeks now, weather is still really nice, we do have some showers from time to time but usually doesn't rain for more then an hour.

Poker has been going absolutely terrible so I'm just on a short break at the moment, but that will surely turn around again. Just the nature of the beast.

Yesterday on of our housemates (Eric) turned 23 so we had a party where we got a Lechon, played some drinking games and ended up somewhere in Cebu







Since most of the people at the party were pokerplayers there were a bunch of small bets going on and then there was a bet for someone to chug stuff... he won the bet but lost the rest of the night...

But in the end we did all make it back home safe:




And it's a good thing we have a live-in maid because it was such a big mess and when we woke up this morning it was all clean again. Sometimes I feel like we should be paying here a bit more... But we already increased her salary by 50% (going from about $24 to $36 for a whole week. It's just crazy how she is here every day all day for only $5 a day...)


Since I can't really play squash here I've found the next best thing and try to play badminton about 3-4 times a week! Sofar I'm not great yet but like it and am sure I'll improve a bunch the next two months.


Sofar we haven't really done much with trips to islands or diving or any of that stuff but we just worked hard to settle in at the house and I'm sure that we will do those things in the future and it looks like we're all enjoying ourselves just lounging around the house.
