Hello everyone!

I hope the holidays are getting off to as awesome of a start for you as they have been for me. I've gotten sick presents for my family (no spoilers just in case). I've made some cookies with my GF's grandparents, with basil icing and pomegranite molasses, obv. My brother has some time off as well, which is huge. He's always at work for the army, so the time I get with him is extra rare.

The point, more or less, of this post is to notify to everyone that I am indeed doing group lessons once again. The cost is $1500, which gets you 10 (yes, TEN) one hour lessons, once a week, with yours truly and a group of around 4 other players (depending on the number of players who sign up). I'm adjuting the groups based on the limits the players who sign up play and the time zones in which the players live.

Oh yeah... one lucky player who signs up will receive a free copy of my book, The Blue Book, which is currently being sold for $2500. So that's basically a free $300 or so to you guys who do sign up, depending on how many people who sign up. That works out to be about $120 a lesson if you're bad at math like me. PM me or leave comments about sign ups.

For those of you curious, I recently had a holiday party during which I showcased a few of my favorite drinks. I don't have pictures of all of them or access to my iPhone usb thingy, so I'll simply list the recipes and any instructions. Enjoy guys! and happy holidays!

New York Flip:
1 oz bourbon (I used Woodford Reserve for this one as it's a bit too sweet for Bakers and something like a Bookers or Makers Mark is a bit too bitter and throws off the balance of the drink IMO... also, I like a gentleman's 1 oz, meaning about 1.5 oz)
3/4 oz Tawny Port (~$20 at your wine or grocery store)
1 egg yolk (yes, yolk, not white)
3/4 oz cream
1/4 oz simple syrup
1 pinch of nutmeg to garnish (sprinkled on the top after you've shaken the drink with ice and given it a second to foam up)

Silver Lining:
1.5 oz rye whiskey
3/4 oz Licor 43
3/4 oz lemon juice
1 medium egg white
2 oz club soda (shake the drink with ice and 1 oz of the club soda, add the remaining oz after you pour the drink and have given it a moment to foam... a high pour works best to make the drink foam more)

Silver Fizz:
2 parts gin (I like junipero)
1 part lemon juice
1 medium egg white
1 part simple syrup (shake the drink with ice and 1 oz of the club soda, add the remaining oz after you pour the drink and have given it a moment to foam... a high pour works best to make the drink foam more)
top the foam with 3-4 dashes of Angostura bitters (take care to not splash it on the edges of your Collins glass!)

Finally, the one I made up!

An Attempt at Greatness:
2 parts white cane rum
1 part benedictine
1 part lemon juice
2-3 dashes of Angostura bitters
1 pear wheel (cut through the center of the pear and de-seeded to reveal a star shape center-wheel)
