Hey guys!

I'm pretty pumped because today is WFU homecoming! I'm heading back to good 'ol Winston-Salem now to meet up with some friends I haven't seen in a while and spend an evening out on the town.

The book sales have been going great! Apparently, everyone in Europe is about to be very good at Hold'em now because a ton of my sales have been all over Europe... pick it up America! Group coaching sign ups are still going on and I've heard from a group so far, so get on that too before the lessons start up. You guys can read more about deals and whatnot I'm having in my previous blog post, here.

Briefly, my 2011 M3 is sick as hell. Like there aren't words for it. I'm going to post some pictures of our new place and the car soon... I'm waiting on a little something for our living room before I show you guys the near-finished product. To make up for the wait, I'll make a cocktail for you guys once 'the package' has arrived

Be well guys. Thanks for all the support with my coaching program and with my book. The word of mouth and just the complements I get are all very encouraging and great to hear. I'll update very soon with a fun one and no more teasers! lol

-Reid

Hey guys,

I'm going to start group coaching sign ups NOW. This time around, group coaching will be a bit different since the theory lessons I've been getting recognition for including into my group lessons has been added and elaborated and expanded into The Blue Book. I've recently had sooo many guys signing up for group coaching that it's been difficult to keep up with everyone while working on things for my book and while triyng to play every once in a while!

This time around, the group coaching is priced at $2500 and gets your group of five, which may be slightly adjusted according to the number of sign ups, 10 scheduled and recorded (audio and high quality video) lessons. By purchasing group coaching, even as part of the book + coaching package, you get all the usual perks offered: complete access to me, asking me as many questions as you like and getting all of them answered as long as I'm free and at my phone or computer, complete access to my private group coaching forum where like-minded players discuss concepts from lessons and set up sweat sessions with one another to improve away from and after the group lessons.

Also, there have been lot's of requests for a group coaching + book package, so I made one. If at any time, as a purchaser of The Blue Book, you want to sign up for this session of group lessons, feel free to let me know and you will be charged only $2000 for the 10 lessons given to each group. I've said this every time and every time I've gotten more sign ups, but later on and as demand continues to increase, the price of group lessons will increase, so if you're on the fence now, that information might help you to make a decision.

What's in a group lesson? Well, because now there are no theory presentations in group lessons (it's all in the book, in a more detailed and better presented way), group lessons will now be up to the student, who will have an average of two lessons (~5 students per group, 10 lessons). Depending on that students level of preparation and his choices about what he'd like to work on, we could discuss a certain topic with a corresponding set of hand histories from his or other player's databases, do a sweat session (that way that student gets some money back), or review answer any other set of poker questions (hands posted in the leggo forums, etc). It's basically going to be an hour where the student asks questions and I answer them. It's all recorded and it's all sent to each student in the group after the lesson.

As always, you guys are welcomed to PM me or post questions here on my blog in the comments section.

I'd like to say here a big thank you to everyone who has purchased my book so far! The last few days have been crazy with all the orders and the FedEx guy is loving all my business (I've spent about $1,000 in shipping there so far!)

In other news, and I'm just going to mention it briefly before I have a fun post in a few days / weeks about it and other things: I just got my brand new 2011 M3. It's soooooooooooo awesome. Everyone of my friends who has seen it just keeps repeating how awesome it is, over and over and over again. Pretty cool.

I hope you guys are well. Keep those questions coming. I'm going to have group coaching sign ups (therefore this package) available until Oct 12, so I hope to hear from you soon!

I feel like I should mention it because it's awesome and because it's costing me a shitload of money, but the book includes free shipping. So to all you French, Italian, Dutch, German, Luxembourgean (?), and Portuguese buyers, enjoy that free money!

Posting teaser pic...

Hey guys, I forgot to mention in my other post about having The Blue Book ready to ship that I'm considering making a group coaching package that also includes my book. Is there any interest in this?

I'll get back to you guys with some numbers, so I just wanted to let you all know before group coaching sign ups open up again!

Take care guys.

Hey gentlemen (and ladies?),

The first batch of Blue Books is shipping out today! So for everyone begging me for updates, here it is! I've been told that shipping to Europe takes three days, unless the lady at FedEx thought I meant Poland, Utah or something like that.

Hope you guys are well. Let the PMing and emailing begin!

Hey guys!

I've been moving into my new place with my friend Ruby for the last few days and had some friends come into town to celebrate. I love our place and the area so much, it's freaking HUGE and the area has basically anything you could want in it and within a block or two. There's even a little club scene here (in Charlotte) if you're in that type of mood. Everyone, especially in our buidling, is crazy nice, almost to the point that it's scary. I guess I'm just used to bigger cities being full of different people and a lot of very self-interested people. I definitely want to put up some more pictures, but I'm going to wait until we get things a little further along and do something fun like a cribs episode for giggles. One of my best friends from high school is a pro with video editing, so there should be some hilarity upcoming.

Also with our new place is the gym on the top floor (along with a pool, but I digress). I've been going every other day to get back on that grind, drinking the proteins, and eating some protein heavy meals when they're available. "Every other day" and "when available" aren't phrases I'm going to get used to. They're just a means to an end. I'll be back into things hardcore in a week or two. I'm just taking things slowly to make sure I don't burn out and/or get injured.

Yeah, so place is amazing, friend visits were great, and the book is printing as we speak. I should (as long as the proof copy looks good that I'm getting tomorrow looks right) have the books to ship out to you guys within a few days of this post. Thanks for the patience guys, it's had to have been more annoying dealing with all the obstacles in the way of getting this thing to my doorstep than waiting for it... but I'm sure you're excited too! Everyone who has PMed me your contact information, you are gaurenteed a copy. Everyone else, get to work sending that PM and let me know!

I've gotten some questions here and there about the book from guys while we've been waiting for them to print. Feel free to send me questions about anything. I've gotten things from "how different is this than your group coaching" to "is the price of the book worth more than a similarly priced coaching package?" Keep the questions coming guys. Here's a link to a debate on coaching versus book purchasing to give you guys an example of a well-worded and relavant question: http://www.leggopoker.com/forums/pok...ook-12636.html.

I've got a new mic and I'm going to re-do a Rush Poker video that I did a few weeks ago for you guys that should be up soon. It focuses on exploitative plays and soul crushing because I stipulate that I have to play every single hand possible (unless I'm faced with a cold-four-bet or something ridiculous)(sometimes)). It's definitely worth a view and maybe you guys can get a taste for some cool moves or some ideas of some cool spots to check out.

I hope you guys are well. Things are busy here and have been for a while. When things calm down a lot, my presence will be felt a lot more in the poker community. I feel bad because it's something I pride myself on doing well: getting back to people quickly, answering EVERY question, and setting up my coaching and book sales in a timely manner. Thanks for reading.

Hey guys, I realize that's it been a while since I've said anything about the book. That's going to change because it's about to pop off!

I just finished up LeggoCast 7 with Aaron, which was tons of fun trying to get in some words while he yammers on as he does recount some Vegas stories, and talk about the book and some strategy. Speaking of strategy, for those of you who haven't seen the interview yet, here is a link to a fun interview I was lucky enough to get to do at pokercurious.com :http://pokercurious.com/interviews/v...oung-interview. Big ups to Matt, aka Probability, for setting this up and Ross for coming up with some pretty fun and interesting interview questions that really helped me get to the heart of what I'm going for with this book.

As far as kind of a FAQ for the book goes, I'm going to put in everything from all the PMs and emails I've gotten from people who have been keeping up with my progress on the book on LeggoPoker and every else.

1. The length of the book is 11 Chapters of varying length, which come to around 75 pages of 12 point font, single-spaced, Microsoft Word. It's long. It's detailed. I've tried as hard as possible to leave no stone unturned. If one is, my LeggoPoker email is in the book and I encourage readers to email me if they think something is left out.

2. There will be a private forum for book purchasers to discuss ideas and concepts, organize sweats or discussions, etc. From time to time, I'll post more information and elaborations on some ideas as the thoughts occur to me (not meaning that I deliberately left things out of the book, just meaning that I plan on getting better at poker).

3. It costs $2500. I know it's a lot for some of you and some of you are smiling and laughing to see it's only that much. I tried to find a decent middle ground, so if this price excludes you, don't fret. I'm sure way down the road the book will sell for less as the information becomes more public, thus less valueable. For now, I want people who are stuck at 200nl to have the option to afford my book as well as the high stakes player trying to fine tune their game. Don't buy the book if it's going to cripple your roll. If that's the case, it's very likely you'd be much better off watching videos or reading a cheaper and more introductory book that isn't as in-depth. I've had a lot of aspiring 100nl players message me about the book. Just keep plugging away for now guys, it's going to be the best thing for your poker carreer.

4. It's going to be a paper back ~150 page 6"x9" book. The hard back version looked like a high school chemistry text! plus I just like the feel and look more of this set up. It'll be easier to carry around and write in.

5. It's copyrighted with random mispellings.

6. It is officially for sale the moment I get the books mailed to me in Charlotte which should be very very close to the 15th of September; however, I will begin taking serious offers now.

7. For payment, I will be accepting any of the following: PokerStars transfer, Full Tilt Poker transfer, cash money (USDs) and Paypal. If other forms of payment become secure and available, I will make them known here. If you need to make some crazy site-to-site trade to get money for one of the sites I listed, feel free to do so.

8. The table of contents is as follows:
Quote:
  1. Player Types (an expansion of the idea)
  2. Pre-flop Play (from hand selection to cold-5-bet-shoving)
  3. Flop Play (tons of different theoretical discussions on floating, check-raising, etc)
  4. River Play (things you almost certainly don't now)
  5. Turn Play (extrapolating flop and river ranges to define a well-balanced turn range)
  6. Turning Hands into Bluffs (combinatorics of it, why do it, when to it, out of the box examples)
  7. Over-betting and Under-betting: All Your Options (head asplode chapter)
  8. Leading (into the Pre-flop Raiser) - (a relatively unexplored area in poker literature)
  9. Quantifying "Leveling" (how words and terms and poker will make you make mistakes)
  10. Miscellaneous Concepts (includes: representing bluffs and using other people's ranges)
  11. Moving Through Limits (this "problem" will come I'm guessing)
... and yes I do know that "Turn Play" is after "River Play." Aren't you curious?

I'm putting the book in the mail to the Library o' Congress tomorrow, getting some lunch with a buddy, doing some packing and then I'm heading up to NYC to terrorize the town with Greg and Phil (philipsaurus on 2p2, sorry if I mispelled that one Phil!). After NYC, I'm off to San Francisco to hang out with Derek, his gf Katie (who will be having a lovely bday party in Napa), and Craigles, aka craigthedeac. There are some awesome climbing gyms in San Fran for which I've purchased some sweet new FiveTens because my other ones have wholes in the toe and I didn't know you could just resole them for $10 instead of getting a new shoe for 100$... meh.

Here are the new kicks:

Here is the car I'm going to try to order tomorrow because they apparently take 6-8 weeks to arrive, which will drive me crazy. Yeah, that's a red interior.

Lastly, check out my facebook fan page and feel free to comment about whatever. I'm basically the redargoe of social networking, so let me know if this doesn't work and I'll talk to someone who is more tech savvy.

<iframe src="http://www.facebook.com/plugins/likebox.php?id=125854550795235&amp;width=650&amp;connections=10&amp;stream=true& amp;header=true&amp;height=587" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:650px; height:587px;" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>

That's all for now guys. I'm thinking about writing a philosophy book or pamphlet after The Blue Book is finished. I've had some pretty cool ideas in the past few days. Perhaps because of my sickness? Who knows.

Take care guys. I look forward to your emails (to shootaa@leggopoker.com) or your PMs here!

Hey guys! Not too much to update about the book now because I'm working through some last minute promotional issues that I can talk about soon, once more is known. I tweeted this one out to those of you following me (see link on the top of my blog), so I only thought it fair to blog about it too.

Here's what is 99% going to be the cover of The Blue Book. A little taste to whet your appetites in the mean time while we wait for printing

PS - I'll be posting car pictures of the one's I'll be test driving this Thursday. I'm excited! On the docket are the Audi S5, the Maserati GranTurismo, and perhaps a Lexus and BMW visit.

Take care guys.

Hey guys,

I'm trying to get back into blogging a bit more often but to tell the truth, it's been pretty tame with me lately. I've been back home at my parent's place before I make the big move to my new place on the 12th of September now and I'm just about to go insane! They live in the middle of nowhere and I get no cell service. For the last 3 days, we were without internet because of a lightening storm, and so I've been replying to PMs and questions about my videos from my phone when I'm out with friends.

We just got internet back and so I thought I'd pose this difficult question to you guys and hopefully get some meaningful feedback: What car should I get?

Here is my top choice:

I'm absolutely in love with this car, the Maserati Granturismo. It looks awesome, sounds amazing, and is just overall a freaking beast. However, I've been reading lately that I should expect it to be in the shop a lot and that shop time for an Italian sports car is pricey (obv). So I figured I'd ask you guys what are some other options without the less reasonable upkeep costs? I would imagine anything like Audi, Lexus, BMW, etc would have a lower relative upkeep cost just because of how common dealerships are and how experienced the average mechanic is with the car ($40 oil chance instead of $300 oil change, $250/mo insurance vs $450/mo insurance, etc.).

I've been working hard on finishing my book, which is about to be mailed to the printers once the back cover is finalized, and I've been working hard coaching. So the bottom line is that I'm looking to splurge a bit on an awesome car. Any suggestions? If you guys can post a picture too, I think that would make things a bit more flavorful. Hell, I might still just get the Maserati!

Hope you guys are well. Thanks for all the positive feedback about my last video. The second part should be out pretty soon.

Hey guys, I've been so busy in the past few weeks that I haven't taken the time to keep in touch. So much has been going on that telling everyone about it has beome a somewhat daunting task, but here you go... my last month or so in a single blog entry.

I think Jay-Z said it best when he said "I don’t do to much blogging, I just run the town, I don’t do to much jogging"

Here's my first iPhone 4 video. Who knew the flash light was so bright? Sorry guys! We're minutes away from a tasting menu at Alize, the French restaurant at the top of Palms. I highly recommend a visit!

<object width="660" height="525"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Qr14GgqlF_M&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1?color1=0x2b405b&amp;color2=0x6b8ab6&amp;border =1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Qr14GgqlF_M&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1?color1=0x2b405b&amp;color2=0x6b8ab6&amp;border =1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="660" height="525"></embed></object>

Here is probably close to the biggest chip stack I had all summer... a measly 55k or so, huge sad face.

My first interview with THE Greg Brooks during play in the WSOP Main Event in the Full Tilt Poker player's lounge. I try to cut him off, but he loves talking I think the tournament player we're talking about is actually at the final table... woo!

Greg Interview. I couldn't get youtube to cooperate with this one, but this is the link.

Pancakes from the Original Pancake House (not IHOP), which is very close to where I'm moving soon. Hangover foooooooooooooooooood!

Here's a slightly fun one. It's me right after UMD Tennis paid me a hundo to chug 4 shots of Belvadere. Jokes on him though because that was basically 1/4 my caloric intake in Vegas. Suckaaaa. FWIW, I'm not white because I'm so drunk, I'm just that white. Hi haters.

I kept the Vegas pictures to a minimum in case someone in my family sees this AND because I have a lot more relavant and recent exciting news to talk about.

MY BOOK IS FINALLY BEING SENT OFF TO PRINT! I'll be printing a few copies, sending those to the Library o' Congress to get some Copyright love and be ready to go! I've been working between 4 and 8 hours on it every day, except the days I've been looking for a new apartment, in the time since I've been home from Vegas. I'll post a picture of the book's cover as soon as things are finalized. Thanks everyone for all the support and love that helped me to finally enter the final stages of this project that's been almost a year in the making! My close friends and everyone in the Leggo community have been fantastic and very helpful.

So I'm sure you guys have been missing my awesome Leggo videos, but don't worry, there will be lot's soon. Keep an eye on Leggo because I'm about to blow up on this bitch. I'll be on an upcoming LeggoCast and be blogging about details of the book soon. I hope you guys are a fraction as excited I am about this thing finally coming out!

I'm moving and getting the grind station set back up essentially as soon as I plan to get all the book production finalized. I'll probably do an MTV Cribs knock-off when we're settled in and things are presentable. Maybe I'll make you guys a drink on camera?
