Not much going on. I've had access to Leggo from work for the past 6 months...but now it's suddenly blocked by Websense, so I haven't been able to update as much.

I've been playing a fair amount with the 2x promo on Stars. I'm 17k FPP's away from Supernova! I started the year playing NL25, and I'm still working 50+ hours per week, so I'm excited about qualifying relatively early in the year.

I also ordered a new computer from www.cyberpowerpc.com
I've been pretty impressed with the site, and it turns out my desktop is from 2002, and my laptop is 2 years old, so I'm probably due. This machine is very sick compared to my current one- and I can finally setup dual monitors:

I played a pretty solid session today. A fair amount of mediocre 6 max, but I dominated some HU. (The last 3 hands here were from a 6 max table where I was playing HU- prob around $1600 profit from HU total)

Some of these hands are played differently depending on the villain and their image of me. These hands are against 5 or so people.

Didn't play a ton this week. Was busy with my softball and kickball leagues. I've been racking up the RBI's in softball, and our team is now 4-0. It's been fun. Kickball kind of blows though. My team doesnt try as hard as I'd like them to, which just makes it frustrating.

Watched the TUF finally last night. Was surprised to see Amir win the UFC contract, but he definetly deserves it. His last couple fights were all pretty awesome. He's a great competitor.

Had a great session at NLHE yesterday. 2k hands at 14bb/100...was legit. But I bought PLO Tracker this week to see how marginal my draws were, and I've run very bad ever since. -$500 yesterday....I keep getting it in with big hands without redraws, and everyone is hitting against me.

Had a quick HU session this a.m., while waiting for wife to do makeup and hair. Minraises tilt me a bit, so I don't mind playing these hands like a D-bag. This first one was the very first hand of the session. He deserves what he got here. Missed some value in hand 2...but I knew I'd eventually get it. Hand 3 was a few minutes later.

Finished around 1000th in the Stars 250 seat guarantee....misplayed QQ after 5 hours or something. Stacks were awkward, I had a tight image, guy was aggro. My thought process was:
1) 3b would look too strong given stack sizes
2) shove would only get called by KK/AA/AK
3) calling. he was deep and would cbet a huge % of the time (xtra chips). he also wasn't raising too often, so I was expecting the normal broadways, pairs, Ax type hands.

I decided to call. Flop Tc8c2s. He led out for 3/4 of the pot, I raised and he shoved for not much more....obv T8s.

FTP tourney. I played 2 $109's and won my 2nd one. Then played for many hours, no suckouts, solid play. Was steadily around 20-30bb most of the tourney, keeping pace with my buddy Foucault. He eventually busted, then with 272 left (150 get seats) I shoved 11bb from UTG with AQo. Got snap called by AA, and GG and good bye 6 hours of my life.

I really don't miss playing as many tourneys as I used to. I played exceptionally well in both tourneys, but the stress is so much greater than in cash games.
However....I stepped up to PLO$1/$2 and played very well, getting my hands in good many times, and went up $800 and then back down $700 pretty quickly.

In NL$400 I was coolered a few times. Khi flush < Ahi flush. AJ<99 on an AJ9 flop against an aggro donk I had been battling against. All in all, I had a terrible run. I had also been taking a shot, so now I'm heading back to NL200.

Figured it's friday night so the tables are soft, I'm playing solid, I watched a lot of Leggo vids this week, and I had a few drinks....might as well try the jump to 2/4NL.

I've also been trying to play some PLO. I've played very few hands of it, but was inspired by Claytons video. I picked up some good stuff.....but still played tons of trash.

+$1270 at NL400 and plus 500-$600 at PLO100 (not sure...don't have tracker)

Got to go to New Orleans for business this week. Was a quick trip, Monday night to early Wednesday. Was good though, I spoke to a group of financial advisors in our New Orleans office with my boss's boss, trying to promote what my asset retention team does. I stayed next to a casino and managed to avoid it the first night because I had to prepare my presentation, but I went the 2nd night with the wholesaler and some of the reps I met that day. There wasn't a card room, so we all played blackjack instead. We were there to have fun and drink, so we were just playing the $5 table, but I managed to get some good hands in. I started with $60 and ran it to over 200 pretty quick doubling with A6 vs the dealers 4, and splitting 6's, but then right before I had to leave, I dropped in a series of $30 bets and caught a real bad streak. Oh well. Was lots of fun hanging out with southerners. I heard all sorts of weird sayings and metaphors I'd never heard up north before. Good times.

Here's some HU hands from my session the other night. I was 2 tabling some terrible player. I won 2 buyins against him last time. He coolered me a few times here.

Played a bunch of tourneys yesterday. Built some big stacks early in most of them, but then donked most of them off in terrible fashion.

Best run of the day was in the Stars Sunday Million. I got AA first hand...which is usually my bustout hand more often than not in that tourney. I managed to raise and take down a small pot with a cbet. I then managed to get KK and AA again in the first hour, and had about 18k at the break. Had a very quiet 2nd hour, and then came across an aggro/bad player who liked to make PSB bluffs on the river whenever checked to. I used that to run up to 75k early, then eventually elminated that same guy when he 4bet me from the button with ATo. My QQ dominated, and I shot to 125k.

From there I kept an above average stack for the rest of the tourney until there were about 250 players left- in which I went card dead. Then this happened:

MP1 showed A J (a straight, Ten to Ace) and WON 207,026 (+129,598 NET)

I shoved 64o a few hands later and lost to 99. GG...

In the FTP $75 at 4pm EST I built a solid stack, then PearlJammer raised from the button with about 20bb, I shoved with ATo....he tanked and called with 99. I win the flip, and then won the bounty of $75, and got an email about getting a FTP tee shirt.
Pretty sweet, but I busted within 2 hands of that. It seems terrible, I 3b with AQ, and flopped Q7x against a super aggro player. Somehow we got allin in the river, which was terrible, but it really looked like a busted draw and turned out to be a set.

GG.

Currently staying on Lake Ponchatrain in New Orleans for business. Unfortunatly I have zero free time, and I can see a big casino next door....but I can't go. Should be good for work though.
