First thing's first: I want to apologize for not checking Leggo to comment on forum posts or return PMs. It was selfish and dumb but I was trying to avoid all things poker to the best of my abilities. I feel like I can play with a positive mindset now and am not in a rage when I sit down to fire up tables anymore.. so that's a plus. I cashed out all but around $15k and am going to play 1/2 until I feel good enough to move back up to 2/4. I may play a few tournaments as well, or dabble in some PLO again.. not sure.

I'm in Vegas now and have been since May 28th.. it's been fun. I cashed in a $2k WSOP event for $9k. I bricked out of a $1500 that I played and the $2500 6-max and busted when my KK was no good on a Q86ccK board against 43cc (yes, allin on turn). I flew back to Ohio to relax and be with my puppy and hang out with my family, and I got calmed down and refreshed before the $5k 6-max and the main event.

I got in on Sunday and played the $5k on Monday. It went pretty bad at first and I lost 2/3 of my stack with a bluff that I feel was correct but I ran into the top of his range. I chipped back up to 30k in the next hour somehow and ended day 1 with 29k after losing a 70k pot to Roothlus when he cold 4-bet shoved AJ with no FE against my QQ and binked on the river.

Day 2 started well with me getting up to 90k really quick. I ended up just grinding a stack, and we got to the bubble and I had 25bb or so. I ended up doubling up and playing pretty well and had around 200k at 4k/8k when I squeeze shoved hoss_tbf's open and a call with KK and he iso'd with AQ. Flop AQ3 and I was out in 31st for $19k. Not the result I was looking for, but still a solid finish.

My manager, Pete, got us invited to the Doyle's Room party and we went there and I got to talk to Doyle for a few minutes because a blackjack dealer from planet hollywood was on his arm and recognized me and called me over. It was a pretty humbling experience and I left the party drunk and happy.

Played 1/2 with a few 2+2ers at Bally's and dropped $1100 on accident. Came home at 8am or so and slept for a few hours before getting around for the 2+2 party tonight and went there and met a lot of people. Had dinner with Clayton and a few others at Carnevino and saw aejones but didn't know it was him til after he left our table. It was pretty good, and then we came back to the Rio. I was checking up on Pete at 1/3 and decided to walk around because the smoke was getting to my lungs. I saw a roulette table and felt the need to put $100 on 9 because it's my number and I binked it for $3500. Came back to the room and decided to not be a ghost on here anymore.

So that's the update on life in Vegas.. I play the main event on Sunday and am ready to crush it. After the main event, I'm going back to Ohio where I'll be firing out a few videos, hopefully a 1/2 video and a couple of lower stakes videos. Until we get moved into our suite on the 5th I'll probably be a ghost because we don't have wireless and I never feel the need to pay $10 for internet if I'm not gonna grind or do anything productive. I'll definitely be more active now as I'm starting to put in more hands and am actually wanting to think about poker again.

After another -5 bi day, I decided that effective immediately I'm going to quit cash games, til at least May. It's been 3 months straight of bad play and bad mental attitude and I'm breaking even over 2009 and cannot motivate myself to put any more online cash sessions in right now. I'll be online to help in forums, and to hopefully start a few FT sweat threads, but you won't see me at a cash table over 2/4 for a while.

In more positive news, I got 3rd in a 100r a few days ago in my first day playing tournaments in a while (only played 3) for around $6k profit.. putting my tournament results at +$100k for 2009.. so thank god that I ran ridiculously hot in those. Also, I'm up probably $6k in 5-6 hours at live uncapped 5/10 this week, so I might start going up to Detroit a lot more until I run bad live. Also too, I got my Z back with a new system in it, I'll take pics eventually but I'm very lazy atm, so that'll have to wait until this week sometime.

About to head out for the day, but needed to vent.

Okay, so. What. The. ****.

I go to K (I'll call her K because I'm nice but I should say .. whore?)'s house earlier today to hang out and her cute friend Emily and hot 16yo sister are there. Life is amazing. I got home and was talking to PJo and my roommates about how life is cool, and K calls me and says PJo and I should come back to the bars in Toledo with her and Emily. So after the Michigan game (LOL **** YOU BEVILL), we get around and head there.

Arriving in Toledo 15 mins late, they're still not ready, and don't get ready til about midnight. I stop at Brooke's and see Chloe for like an hour, and then get dinner and a beer for PJo and they say they're ready finally. We drive there and are chillin and everything's awesome. They show us their corsets and their bras and whatnot and we're on cloud nine. It's so sweet and we're basically thinking we're getting laid tonight. I'm the designated driver so I take E's BMW and drive it to the bar.

We roll out to this Ryno bar that is the exact opposite of the Rhino in Vegas... a ****ing hole in the wall piece of **** bar with 30 people, 26 guys and 2 other girls besides K and E. They flirt with like everyone and start making out with each other and we're like, whatevs, we got a hotel room with them tonight and they're all ours. Oh boy were they not.

After the bars closed down, the night began. We go to this after-party thing and there's no one there so we go to this ripped Air Force dude's house and we're real glad he's not an enemy cause dude is BIG. Like 6'5, 260 and cut like crazy. There are probably 10 of the sleazeball guys, three other girls and K, E and me and PJo. The three other girls bounce and K and E start making out and being sluts.

We just chill for a while and like 4am rolls around and the people at the house were saying we all had to leave because they had to lift at like 9am (lol). So K and E go to the bathroom and this skinny-ass pale nerd tells us we need to get the **** out. We are like "are you serious? the girls are in the bathroom, just wait like 45 seconds" and the dude starts pushing me tryin to get me out the door, I tell him to just hold the **** on and he punches me in the stomach and the Air Force dude tells us to get outside.. we gladly oblige cause dude is ****in huge.

So I have E's keys to her car and we're standing outside wondering what the **** to do, and she calls me and says get back up to the apartment with her keys and in the background I hear one of the dudes say "those mother****ers can WALK to their car". I tell PJo we're going. We start to drive off in E's car... not knowing where we're going. We know we turned a lot of times, but other than that we have no idea. So Brad decides he needs a cigarette and I decide **** him I'm driving. I eventually find the road I need and remember some of the landmarks. I get to that diagonal road close to where my car is and I pass a cop going 10 over the speed limit. He doesn't turn around.. whew. I get to the road before we turn to get to my car and pass another cop... he stops us. We get turned onto the road where my car is -- I can physically see my car -- and we do the whole "getting pulled over" thing.

I can see so many things going wrong.. they reported the car stolen, the cop wonders why we have the car, the lack of an insurance card ****s us over, the Air Force dudes are at K's house just waiting for us to pull up.. the possibilities were endless. So I tell the cop I'm taking E's car back to K's house because she's passed out drunk at some dude's party and I need to get back to my car. He says he just gave my Z a warning because I parked illegally and asked if I know the speed limit and all that bull****, I tell him no, and he gives me a warning. Yay, two warnings in one night, ship that!

So I get back to K's driveway, put her keys on the seat and drive away in the Z. It's 6am and I'm wired and was scared for our lives, and I am pretty sure I've never had so much fun.

So I just got back in Ohio like 7 hours ago, and back to my house like 5 hours ago. In that time I decided to delay the road trip that I had planned because I found 2nd row tickets to the Cavs vs Pistons on March 31st. What led to this? Facebook chat and alcohol. Whatttt?

So I don't drink. It's sort of "my thing" because of family issues with alcoholism and stuff. Well, during the SC trip, Zak talked me into vodka shots. Because I was nervous about coming back home and still had alcohol in me, I felt the need to get onto facebook chat at 6am. Only one person was on, this girl I've liked for quite a while that was unreachable due to one thing or another. So we start talking and I eventually pass out to Apathy's 10/20 video. I wake up and text her again, and we talk and she starts asking me about myself and all that stuff, and I ask if we can get dinner sometime, bla bla she says yes, I get giddy.

So anyways she and I talk for quite a while and I say how I've never been to a Cavs game. She shows me a video that she got of her watching the Cavs in her brother's suite in Phoenix or something? So I decide I need to one-up that. An hour later, I have two courtside tickets for next week's game. I'm pretty excited.

Also, earlier today on my way to the airport, I stopped at this jewelry place and got a new Breitling. I'm pretty sure that I am ecstatic about it. I got into the watch fetish after seeing Alex's Breitling (I think) at Turning Stone when I met him. Since then, I have had a growing collection and it's a bad habit but I love it.

Poker has been pretty sweet lately too. I won my biggest pot while chasing test at 25/50. I am probably up a dollar/hand this month but haven't really played due to vacation and stuff. I think I found that I was getting too trappy with big hands and missing value on later streets because I was so used to tournaments where the effective stacks are much lower so it was optimal to check in places where its atrocious to in cash games. So I've been starting to get more stacks and winning a lot more lately. Not getting coolered every 100 hands helps too.

It's 5:30am and I am running on 3 hours of sleep and two plane rides, so I'm heading to bed. Night guys!

I haven't really played much poker this month, but March is going amazingly. I'm pretty breakeven in cash games again (over a whopping 5k hands or so), but had success in tournaments so I'm having another decent month.

I left for South Carolina to chill at Zak's house for a week. Well, when a week came, I was having too much fun to go back to Ohio so I canceled my flight and am staying until Wednesday. When I get home, PJo should be at the house waiting for me and will be staying at my place til Saturday or Sunday or something. Should be another fun time.

I can't even describe how much fun this SC trip was. So much epicness, so much hilarity. I'll try to cliffnote it though:

- Pete and I arrived Saturday, stayed the night with hockeyav at Zak's waiting on everyone.
- Sunday MTTs and grinding while Wade, Fopah, Bevill and Zak arrived.
- Monday, Andy and his girlfriend and our friend Paul drove from Ohio down here and we chilled.
- Tuesday, Andy, Paul and I went golfing at this course that was really nice but the grass was pretty dead so it kinda sucked.
- Wednesday I forget what happened.
- Thursday we had a party and Zak's roommate Brandon got pissed and tore off the railing to their stairwell in a drunken rage. I met Zak's friend Lauren and crushed beer pong with her
- Friday I watched the Buckeyes crush Michigan State and had another party at Zak's and kicked ass in beer pong with Lauren again.
- Saturday we were just chillin since everyone was getting ready to leave. I decided I wanted to stay here for a little longer. Took Pete back to the airport and got my Tag fixed (needed a link taken out of it). Wade and Bevill were causing a scene all night. Bevill went to sleep and Wade teabagged him.
- Sunday we had a relax day and played Sunday MTTs and everyone left except me and Bevill. Wade is a Michigan fan and Bevill goes to Clemson.. and we watched the selection show to see Clemson v Michigan first round. Chaos ensued again.
- Today has been a lazy day so far, but it's Courtney's birthday so I assume there'll be another party here

I get back in Ohio on Wednesday, I'm so not ready to leave yet.

So yesterday Alyssa and I decided to take a break. I don't really know what to do but whatevs.

I booked a flight to South Carolina for a week to get away. Pete and I arrive there tomorrow night at 9pm, and will be with something like 5-6 other grinders, and will hopefully have a good time.

I went golfing today for the first time this year, shot horribly in the wind and rain. Was +12 on the front and was +1 on the back after 5 holes when we ran out of daylight. Was sad but still, it was a fun time.

When I got home from golfing, Pete had good news and bad news. The bad news was, they got a letter in the mail that a neighbor reported Chloe and since we're not allowed to have pets, I gotta get rid of her for good (for at least another year). I don't know what to do, but I'm super-upset. I looove her and will miss her like crazy.

In 2008 I made like $140k or so. My goal for 2009 was a staggering $300k (given the little amount of hands I play, I think it's a lot). In January I finished down like $17k or something. Good start.

February was a little different, cash games started up +$16k in the first 10 days. Then I FTed the FTOPS for $47k. Somehow after that cash I forgot how to play cash games though and ended -$2700 in cash games. But that's all well and good because I FTed the $1k Monday for $45k.

March has started out well, I took the first couple days off for Alyssa's birthday (I got her a massage and manicure/pedicure for her bday, she loved it and I encourage everyone to do the same for their gfs), and started playing again after she left last night.

I played the $1k Monday and the $162 on Stars. Dropped $5k fast at 5/10 but ended up -$400 or so. Then I started to get deep and short in both tournaments, had 10bb when the bubbles broke of both tournaments but ran really well afterward, and soon enough I was at the FT bubble of both tournaments!

I dominated 3 handed play, but when it got HU, I got crushed. Had flush under flush, a triple barrel that should have worked that got called down by 3rd pair, and then tilted the rest off with 84s into AA. He ran well, but I was impatient. I got 2nd in that.

So, in MTTs the last month, I have 4 FTs in 19 tournaments.. for a total of approx $120k. That puts my total for the year right at about $100k. On pace for my goal if I can re-learn cash games.

I just recorded a video and the sound actually worked well (at least in the first cut), so hopefully that'll be out soon. I think it was a decent video.

Gonna spend most of March re-tooling my cash game and possibly moving back down until I find the right mindset again.

Decided on a whim to enter the $1k Monday last night, my first attempt at it. 6 hours later, this happened:



That makes me +$88k in tournaments this year, while being down $7k in cash games. Whaaaaaat?! I feel so lost whenever I play cash games, it's not even normal. While I think I am running a lot under expectation, it's nothing that isn't normal and I should be playing through it.



I'm up on every stake except 5/10, where I'm down $22k in 14k hands?! Whaaaaat?! Nuggetz and I canceled our hands bet, and I've lowered my tables from 9 to 4-6, but I still just can't get any traction.

In any case, I got Bobbo's 3-disc DVD set in the mail yesterday so I'm about to watch that.

Lets start off with the good:



I got 6th in the FTOPS event 10 for $47k. It was an amazing run and I loved every minute of it, until I ran card-dead at the FT and ended up shoving 55 into JJ.

Since then, I haven't done much. I tried putting in sessions, and lost like $10k. I moved back up to 5/10 and got crushed. I haven't been at the computer much since then.

I have a prop bet with nuggetz87 for 70,000 hands in February. I'm at 23k right now after not playing much in the last week. I might just give it up because I hate poker again.

I promise I'll start making videos again, I've tried a few different times and either my mic is messed up or my audio card is messed up, because I had a static in the background, and the last time I had no sound at all. I'm gonna play around a bit more probably on Sunday, and hopefully get a WORKING video out soon.

Spending this weekend with Alyssa, it's going well so far! Olive Garden (or another restaurant since they don't accept reservations) tomorrow night, that should be real fun.

I'll try to do something productive on Sunday about videos.

Also, shoutout to my roommate Pete, who took 2nd in a $22 mtt for $450 and 1st in a $55 deepstack for $1500 the last couple days!
