Hey guys, I have a lot of time this month and would like to get a decent amount of coaching in. As such, I'm going to be offering coaching for $100/hr for the month of July (and possibly August). I will also be running a special for 6 sessions for $500, so you will be getting a session free with the package purchase. Feel free to PM me if you have questions or if you'd like to book a session!
----
On the poker front, things have been up and down. I got supernova, and haven't really been playing much since as I'm kinda burnt out. I think coaching will help get me back into the grind mindset, at least I hope so.
I made another 20-50bb video today, it should be coming out pretty soon. I was gonna make it a two-part video but there were some landscape people outside working on things and it was pretty distracting.

Was outside earlier, and a lightning bug landed on my dog, now she runs whenever of them flashes. Lol.
Also, finally made supernova, that was fun.

Haven't been able to eat, play, do anything for the last couple weeks. Relationships are tough.
I put in a solid session today though.
Next week, there's a lot of people coming in from all over to go to Cedar Point, so I'm pretty pumped for that too.

Congrats to Leo Murphy finally getting some TV spotlight time, crushing the Doyle Brunson Beer Pong tournament! He and Bond apparently ran the tables the whole time.
GJ guys!

I went to Toronto this past weekend for Victoria Day, that was pretty fun. Had a great time with some great friends, shot some fireworks off in a park at 4am, had some kick-ass barbecues, and enjoyed the weather up there. The only thing that I regret is that we didn't go to the NHL HoF. Ah well. It was nice to get away from poker for a weekend and get my mind straight after not winning too much recently.

Hey guys, I'm not dead, and I'm trying to make videos. Promise.
I've had an upper respiratory infection for the last few days, I'm not sure how long it's been, but I haven't been in the right mindset to play poker hardly at all. I can barely speak, and when I do it sounds like hell. Gonna try and recover in the next few days and start up a series after that.

Couldn't think of a blog title, so I went with what was on winamp.
There hasn't really been a whole lot to life lately. It's been mostly poker and golf. I played 27 holes yesterday, and got really sunburnt. I shot 46-43-46 which I'm somewhat happy about but I could've played better.
That's how I feel about my poker game too. I'm playing well, but I can be playing so much better. The sheer amount of volume is pretty overwhelming but I'm starting to get used to it. I'm making a lot of "well, I'm confused" calls, and I need to stop because I'm not right nearly often enough. I've played a decent amount of fun hands, maybe I'll make a replayer video out of them. If I don't, I'll post about them here.
On the note of my next video, not sure what I wanna do. I'm gonna be making my next one tomorrow most likely though. I might tape a long session of me playing, we'll see.

Hey guys, it's been an eventful couple of days.. so I figured I'd write a little bit about it while I have a few spare minutes.
On the night of the 28th, I found that my bank account had a charge that I didn't remember paying for. It was from an eCommerce processor "Plimus", and it had a phone number attached to the charge. I called the number and they were like "oh, yeah that doesn't look like you charged it at all, we will look into it, stay on hold." So I listened to some elevator music for about 5 minutes, and the lady comes back and says that they located the user that processed the charge and gave me his name. I hung up, not thinking much of it.. but I googled his name with the help of hockeyav and we found out that it probably WAS a real name and that the person we thought it was lived in Ohio.
I called back the Plimus company and asked if I could get more information on the guy. They gave me information and it matched the town that we found through google so I wrote down his vitals and saved it to notepad. I called the police and they said they'd get back to me in a couple days. They just called this afternoon and took all of his information and filed it as a felony theft report and are gonna have their detective bureau looking at it. I got the charge reversed and everything but I have to wait 7-10 business days on a new debit card so I have to go to the bank and withdraw money every time I have to buy something. Frustrating, but it could've ended a lot worse.

Yesterday, I went golfing with Derek and his dad and my buddy Andy. We played a different course that I never liked when I was in high school and somehow I ended up with not one, but TWO 11s (yes, ELEVEN) on my scorecard. Don't ask me how but 2-3 penalties per hole basically. I was 13 over on those two holes and ended +26 for the round, so I'm considering it a win, as it easily could've been a round in the 80s disregarding those. I think my game is getting back to where it was last year, which I'm happy about. Excited to get a few more rounds in and shake the rust off more.

On the poker front, I've plugged a few leaks that I'm happy about and I got to play this fun hand today:

So my best friend from high school is in town for a couple weeks. We were co-captains of our varsity golf team and stuff, so we were wanting to golf a lot while he's here. He's going to a golf school in Myrtle Beach so he's playing in a lot of tough courses and so he's a lot better than me.. especially since I haven't played a round in over a year.
He got in on the 23rd, and it rained for 4 days straight after that. We finally got to play yesterday... at 9:30am, much less the time that I got up to get ready and drive (7:45am). It was 35 degrees and windy, and it just wasn't very enjoyable conditions to golf in, but we had fun. Shot a 49-46, definitely going to improve that. He shot a 79, I assume 40-39 but I forget.
We're golfing in the morning, but a little bit later this time. We have a 10:52 tee time, so that's pretty good. Hopefully I can break 80s this time.

On the poker front, I'm back to cash games. The swings of tournaments are too much, and it's frustrating. Everyone that said this, you were right. I concede. I've played about 6 days worth of 1/2 6m on Stars, and got about 10k VPPs. I'm gonna attempt to get 500k VPPs for the year.. I'm way behind.
As of now,
49,080.16 VPPs

So after my double-FT night, I hadn't really had anything worth blogging about. Just grinded a bunch of tournaments and started a run at playing PLO. I get way too bored with poker lately and I haven't had much work ethic in improving my game, so I decided to switch it up and start re-learning PLO. I got bored playing normal tables, but I started 4 tabling rush PLO and it's been pretty good so far. Not sure of the specifics, but I'd say I'm running in the area of 10ptbb/100 or so.
With tournaments, I was going like 1/10 or 0/10 every day, until the last day before we left for Vegas when I final tabled two $26s for like $3k in profit overall. Not the best day as I got like 5th and 4th or something like that, but it was nice to make a bit of money before Vegas.
Arriving at Vegas at 1am on Wednesday night, we met up with my old roommate Leo and his girlfriend Amanda and played a bit of pit games and got our drink on. We all made around $250 and went to bed. Peter, Leo and I played in the WSOP Circuit $340, and it only got like 170 runners, so it was pretty dumb. I made a pretty awesome 3 barrel but got looked up super light (essentially 3rd pair), so I got short and shoved 77 into JJ. Standard.
Got a call from Vitas saying that there was pizza and bowling, so the three of us after busting the tournament met up with Aaron, Chewy, KingDan, Vitas, Clayton and a leggo member. Bowling was a good time, I thought I was hustling Leo with a $20 bet with me getting 10 pins.. but we ended up tying and he crushed me in game 2. Peter and I broke even after I beat him in game 1 and he won the DoN for game 2. After bowling we came back and degened it up a little bit, then went to bed.
The $340 at the Venetian was yesterday, and I made it to antes this time so that was a plus. I eventually got it in with AK into a laggy player's KK which kinda felt shitty, but it was pretty unavoidable I think. Peter was CRUSHING, and had 110bb at 500/1000/100 and cruised with that stack into day 2, which starts in a few hours (gl sir). After busting, Clayton and I went to Cut, where we had the tasting of new york or something, three different awesome steaks from all over the world. It was very good, and it put me into a food coma and I slept for 10 hours.
I'm feeling very rested today, gonna play the $550 downstairs and see how that goes. Peter starts playing at 4pm, so if I make it to the point where Peter starts playing, I'll consider it a successful tournament. Tomorrow, we're grinding Sundays unless I make it to day 2, Monday we're playing a $340 I think and then Tuesday is a relax day until we leave on Wednesday.
This got to be a really long blog, but I'm wrapping it up now because I'm going to win a tournament.
Peace!

So I played the night schedule tonight after waiting 7 hours on my new phone to get here (I have a new number, working on getting it out to everyone), and grinded in BG with Peter. Went 5/13 with two final tables.
Played ~12 hours, made dollars, and I'm happy again. Guess I can afford a new cd player now.
