Hey everyone!
As some of you may know, I have been to lovely London. Hans and Vincent, two good friends of mine whom I went to Aruba with earlier, were doing a summercourse there and asked if I wanted to drop by and party it up in London. I did want to drop by and party it up in London.
And unlike Vegas, I actually have a whole bunch of pictures this time. Mainly because of the picturecrazy little sister of Hans and Vincent who was there, along with Vincent's girlfriend, to visit them. And to party it up.
F.l.t.r: Jendé (sister), Vincent, Me, Merel (gf), Hans.
Here you can see our crew chillin at the Sketch restaurant/lounge. The Sketch is a really nice place to go to if you ever visit London. It has a unique design, some good cocktails and possibly the most awesome restrooms I have ever seen. They looked like long eggshaped cabins on the outside and like space capsules on the inside. It was the weirdest thing seeing gorgeous ladies come out of a purple lit egg. Not yet sure what I think of that.
After Sketch we went to a club called Maddox. Appearantly Britney Spears (known from the hits 'Hit me baby one more time', 'Oops I did it again' and my personal favourite, 'Lucky') has been there too, so I knew there was a high probability that it would be an awesome night. It was.
As you can imagine, we were all pretty hungover the next day. We somehow managed to get up though, and after a whole bunch of cokes and some good food we were ready to do some tourist stuff. Funny sidestory, when we were ordering, someone ordered by saying he/she wanted the soup in the front and the main in the back. The waiter looked soo confused and we were all ROFLOAO. I don't wanna embarass that person by saying who it was, but I can tell you it wasn't me. It also wasn't Vincent, Hans or Merel.
We went to the London Eye first. Or actually, a 4D intro show about London, which was 'spacing' and a lot of fun. The London Eye itself was cool, although I was really scared at some point cause I'm afraid of heights. Gotta face your fears though, and the scariness was nothing compared to what we did after that: The Death Trap.
The Death Trap is a horrorhouse with live actors. We thought it could never be that scary, but the catch is that you have to walk through the house and the live actors are allowed to lightly touch you... Imagine a very scary place, almost pitch black and knowing that around every corner there can be several creepy creatures waiting for you. It's no longer walking around, it's more like forcing your legs to move. It was just the five of us so we never knew what to expect (no group before us warning us about scarepoints). The scariest part for me was when the girls in the front (Hans and Vincent) didn't want to walk any further, so they were pushing back, while I was the last person in the group and someone that looked like the girl from The Ring was touching me on the face and there was just enough light to see how fucked up she looked. So obviously I was pushing forward but couldnt go anywhere so I ended up just standing there with crazygirl. My god. Almost punched her in the face. We got out safely though, and went on to see the Big Ben and House of Parliaments. Here are some pictures of that day that I thought were really cool.
Hans is insane POPcorn lover. He goes to the movies not for the movie but for the popcorn. On the right it's Death Trap cashier.

Left pic is Vincent trickshotting the House of Parliaments. On the right pic I like how the red bus moves and we are standing still. Shame i was looking at the bus. Must have been an interesting advertisement. Or a hot chick in there.
This one is just plain cute ^^
That night we went to a club called Vendredome. I wanna give a big thank you to Eveline, a friend of Hans who got us in, just in case she's reading this. Had a grrreat time there, unfortunately no camera so no pictures. The next day we went to the Madame Tussauds, which was a lot of fun. Inside of the Madama Tussauds there was a Guitar Hero stand. Naturally Hans and I grabbed a guitar and started rocking. It's a shame the pictures or movie don't really capture the atmosphere, but a lot of people who were walking by just stopped and started watching us, which was awesome. It could also have had something to do with Jendé playing groupie like a pro. Seriously though, I had a really good time in there.

Right pic craps me up, picture of the trip imo. I know Hans quite well, and I have seriously never seen him look so sincere.
I thought Vincent looked like Tom Cruise, his gf did not agree. Well fu, look at this pic girl. On the right it's me with Jimi Hendrix. (So now you know as I'm sure you'll read this )
After that we had some drinks at Brick Lane and as we were only staying there for the weekend, it was our last night already. After a long discussion (I said let's go to the strip club and the only one dying to go was jendé -.-) we decided to go to Picadilly Circus and have some more drinks there at Planet Hollywood. Took pictures at the exact same places as when I was there last year with Robin 'the Picture Blogger' Ripper.
Finishing writing up I realize the best part about having a blog. During the writing I relived all the moments and experiences I had there. Hopefully whenever I read this again, I will have the same feeling. Hans, Vincent, Jendé and Merel are all really cool to hang out with and, like Matt would say, just really good people. I thought this TR would be a short one, as I was only there for a long weekend, but it turns out we did a lot of things in a small amount of time. And I had to share the fun with you guys. The people had to know.

Hey guys and irishwife!
I've been slacking with my blog, but I didn't want to make a trip report of Vegas without pictures, cause the written story just wouldn't tell the true story of what went down there. I'm sure y'all ( ) have read jaymesbond's and many others trip reports or mini reports of all the awesome stuff that happened in Vegas, so there is not that much new that I could tell you that I can think of now. All in all it was just a really good time with really good people! Thinking of it right now so many memories actually come back. Love it.
Right now I'm in London, and made a bunch of pictures here so hopefully there will be a decent TR after that. I'm only here for the weekend visiting some friends, but if someone wants to meet up or whatever, pm me your number or so and we'll try and sort it out.
Take care,
Denny

Helloe all!
I have been in las vegas for about a week and a half, and it has been pretty awesome. Everytime I felt like writing up a blogpost about what happened, I thought, wait I'll do that tomorrow cause I'm gonna do something cool tonight and want to get that in too.
So, as the champion (or rather king, cause i'm walking around with an orange crown here all the time) of postponing things, I kept on putting off writing about what has been going down here. And now so much has happened that I can't remember everything anymore.
Some things that jump into my head right now are Leggo Party, Holland in the Finals, Naked Fish good times, getting titties rubbed in my face, watching UFC fight, learning and doing some magic, Matt's panda shirt (which is the reason why i changed my avatar to a panda in my latest vids), Buffalo's Wild Wings, and mostly seeing everyone again and meeting new pplz too.
Also, I've advanced to day 2 of the Main Event with 47k in chips, should've been a lot more but set < fd. I am playing strong and we'll see where it goes.
I wish I had some pictures for you guys (and girl, hello irishwife ;p) but I just haven't been taking many. I wanted to take one of a guy at the Venetian who was so drunk that he had to get into a weelchair (which reminded me of Robin the picture blogger last year), but unfortunately the security didn't let me.
Well that's it for now, will play the ME again tomorrow so expect an update about that soon.

Finally, vacation time !! The last couple of weeks have been horrible as I've been putting in a huge amount of time to finish up my cases for school, but all is done now, so let the parteeeeing commence.
I've been watching quite a bit of the World Cup lately, obviously rooting for the Netherlands. I'm curious to see how they'll do... If we get through to the quarter finals we probably will face Brazil, so it's gonna be tough to win for sure.
Also, I've placed my first sportsbet in a very long time, and actually won I thought the bookies were really undervalueing South Africa against France, cause France just has too much bullshit going on right now.
Does anyone watch Wimbledon btw? Saw a game where the match was postponed to today, while it was 59-59 (!!!) in the fifth set. The winner of that match will face a Dutchie, so good thing for us .
I'm leaving for Vegas on monday, can't wait to hang out with everyone again. And hopefully meet some cool new people too

I went to see iron man 2, which I thought was pretty good. I like Gwyneth paltrow. Then I went to the KFC and got some chicken, I didn't have dinner yet.
I already pre registered for the Hu scoop, the middle and the high one. I come home 5 minutes after the tourney started... To find out I pretty much lost my entire stack already in both :S
Somehow managed to get through the middle one, but I am really tilted because the guy in the 1.5K one looked like one of the weaker players :S And it was a tourney I was really looking forward to. Its kind of prestigious and fun to play these kind of hu tournaments
This sucks

Hello all!
It has been a long long time since my last blogpost. There were several reasons for that, but I'm not really gonna go into them. Instead, I'll just pretend like it hasn't been so absurdly long and tell you what has happened in the past couple of weeks.
This story takes place in a Spanish city called Malaga. Some would call it a tragic love story, but I would like to think of it as a bittersweet symphony.
It starts out with our hero Allard, a tall brown-haired dancer from Holland. But he is no ordinary dancer. When the sun settles and the darkness of the night takes over the land, he puts on his cape and grinds out the pokergames online. And it was in one of those nights that he managed to secure a ticket for the Estrellas Poker Tour. Allard gathered with his super best friends Captain Koen (aka cowboykoen) and me and the three of us took off and flew to Malaga.
Unfortunately we didn't have a camera, so no cool pics, but the Captain is the most handsome viking you will ever find
We arrived at our hotel, and everything looked very nice. The weather outside wasn't frightful so we decided to get a tan on our muscular bodies. During this sweatsession we met some fellow Dutchmen. We went to the opening party (hello hot girl with tooth piercing, weird but so hot <3) and then we went to some other places. Our hero Allard knew the places to be, as he had been in Malaga before. And that is where our true story begins...
The last time Allard went to Malaga, he had met a girl. And just like Allard was no ordinary boy, she was no ordinary girl. Charming, sweet, elegant. She was something else. Call it coincidence, call it fate, but when Allard, the Captain and I went to Malaga, she also happened to be there... Sadly, this is not a story with a happy ending. Although they were clearly eyefucking the shit out of each other, nothing happened... Or so we think. The Captain and I were a bit dissapointed, because we were hoping to get our silver wings that night, but we did not succeed in winging our hero. We still have good hopes to get them someday, as we know that this can't be the end of their (love)story.
The partying was good on all days, except for the final day (or rather, night). Because, during all this, Allard managed to get deep into the tournament (i busted on beginning day2). Everything seemed to go great, he finished day 1b as the chip leader and kept on pounding on the other players to reach the final 13.
It was with the last 13 players where a horrible beat and a retardedly played hand took place. I do not recall the blinds or stacksizes, but I'm pretty sure they were over 60bb deep. UTG opens (7 handed) Allard is the only caller in the BB with 44. Flop 743rainbow. Allard leads and UTG tank-raises. Our hero shoves and UTG tank-calls with A7s. The pot is for a commanding 1.5x chiplead. No direct outs. Everything looks great. But the serialkiller with the skinny fingers pulls out a runner runner flush and as they had equal stacks, Allard is out as 13th.
After that we went to the center of Malaga. We had dinner at El Pimpy's, and it was really really good. We had a good amount of Jamon Iberico (most awesome ham i ever tasted) and good tapa-like things overall. Poor Allard also lost the CCR. After dinner we tried to party, but things weren't the same. So we went back to the casino. We were having some fun with roulette and blackjack and Allard had a pretty epic run. He was down a couple hundred and had 2.50eu left, but table min. was 5 euros. So he split with another guy on the blackjack table, won, and managed to turn that into 600.
All in all a really fun trip even though poker sucked. I ran good where I needed to (CCR, and some bets I made with Koen including Real - Barca which we watched in a bar with like 6 costumized bachelor parties (they called them ' hen-parties' ) going on. Dios mio. Also Koen and I fell in love with a girl named Martha. Martha, if you read this, come to holland!
Well, that was the tale of Malaga. I feel like I have a ton more to tell, but it's getting too long already. Probably shouldn't have written that much bull inbetween. I'm perfectly sober too -.- Pokerwise 2010 hasn't been too great for me, I had a 120k hands downswing, but I got back from that and am up a bunch of buyins now. Hope it continues to go the right way During that I learned quite some things about myself and about poker. I'll talk about that a bit in a vid or in a future blogpost, but some interesting things happened for sure.
Hopefully I'll be able to update more regularly and write up some more serious stuff as well, whether pokerrelated or not.
Take care,
Denny

I decided to play a little bit of Rush Poker with a good friend of mine yesterday. I wasn't planning on playing seriously whatsoever, but just messing around and planning to 3bet and 4bet at pretty much every opportunity I got.
First 2 hands.
I make a statement call preflop allin with 92s. The guy flips AA.
Then the hand right after, I sit at a table with the same guy again. I make another statement call with 54s because I don't think he got my message the first time. He shows KK.
What are the odds of sitting with the same guy in the first 2 hands of Rush Poker you ever play at the same table and him having AA and KK dealt in a row. The bastard

Hey all,
Thought it was a good time to write an update about 2010. So pokerwise I think I came back from being down 15k to -3k. EV-wise I'm doing very well though and even though it might not really mean anything, it's still nice to not have your confidence drop. I haven't played that many hands yet, my computer crashed because of a retarded program i had to install for my study. You'd think they know what they give their students. Also, I've been a bit sick for a couple of days, not that I couldn't get out of bed sick, but i don't think I could play very well. I stumbled across a game called Modern Warfare II, it's pretty awesome, been playing it quite a bit.
Oh and I have been to the movies (Sherlock Holmes, it was very decent) and to the zoo. In the zoo I saw a lion rape a woman lion and a turtle make love to a woman turtle. We did take a picture, but I don't have it yet. A turtle can really go on for a long time, and with every thrust (1 per second) he makes a weird sound.
Also, I saw this picture and it got me thinking.
Too bad I'm awful with paint and i don't have Photoshop reinstalled yet, but just let this picture open up your own imagination. They really are perfectly shaped. The LeggoPoker logo will never be the same for me. It's magical.
(If I had Photoshop I would've made the logo transparent. Her rack really was this big. I'm a face and tushy guy though, I just thought this would be good for the Logo)

For some reason I always get the feeling that the people here at Leggo are all good people. Yes, every single on of you :P And even though that probably isn't true, it's still nice to feel this way about the community and be a part of it. My sincere very best wishes to all of you.
I thought this was a good time to write a short recap of 2009. One of the reasons I started keeping a blog was so that I could read back on my life/progress, and I must say, things have changed greatly since the beginning of the year. My mental attitude towards the game, my game itself, and most importantly, my character. I hope it's for the best, and I'm confident it is.
Reading back on my blog I realized that most of the highlights of 2009 are already in there. I also realized that the greatest gift of poker is not what most outsiders (and insiders) think it is. It's not the money. It's not a certain mental attitude. It's not freedom. The greatest gifts of poker are the friends you meet during your poker career, and will keep long after. It sounds cheesy as cheese, but I've traveled a lot this year, and always when people ask they get jealous because of the places you've been. But it's not the places you've been that make those experiences memorable and as fun as they are, it is the fact that you're there with your friends and just literally having the time of your life. Some people I've met because of poker, have become one of my closest friends (you know who you are ) and for that I will always be grateful.
Pokerwise 2009 has been solid, I didn't follow any classes in November and December, and managed to hit Supernova and a very nice 'end of the year grind'. It's great for my confidence as these were the first 2 months I actually put quite some volume in, and it made for a very sexy graph imo:
Also, as a Christmas thingy I decided to do a small draw and put 2 players into the Sunday Million. The winnings would be split 50/50. One of them was a 2NL player. The other one was a 50NL player. He was Robvleugel. Robvleugel became 7th. An amazing achievement by him and I hope I can make the final table of the SM one day too.
Oh and Robin_Ripper lost the CCR 2 days ago. With that I'm gonna end this blogpost.
Have a great 2010 all,
Denny
