This week i did not follow through on all my goals set forth. I need to read more( i read about 50% of the days 1 hour) i did however invest some of my money. We will see how that goes till feb.
Its been 6 days and I've put in about 20,000 hands 6 tabling averaging about 7 hours a day of poker and 1 hour of review. In all i am looking to improve next week in the amount of hands i put in while maintaining/improving on my win rate which was 4ptbb for 3k$ won(with rb/bonus). In review there were some marginal spots that i could've saved a buyin or a 4bet so i see 5ptbb+ possible if i can maintain emotional control and mindfulness 100%. (which isn't possible but, I'm trying!) My other blog posts were a bit vague and i put a list of things i learned which were very general cuz i was so tired. I said " Poker should never be looked at as a HH, a single HH is flawed because it limits how many options we consider." This relates to the 5bet stack offs and 4bets i could've saved. So one was BVB vs a reg i had 88 he 3bets very high from BB so getting in 88 here is never really a mistake and never really a huge mistake folding. So if you open the HH and read it, you would be like shove ok, fold ok. And maybe i would go beyond the specific HH, looking at stats, and notes. But in this spot we had substantial history this session which i feel changed his range and i had to fold. Its only possible to see his thought process if you watch the entire session in HHs in order or a video of the session to know this is a clear fold. And i am starting to see that the majority of important decisions that are grey area are not simple enough that you can just spew stats on a person and give a stats image of yourself to get an accurate analysis from someone else or even an accurate answer from yourself. Either way i have started experimenting with playing 8-9 tables and i had my best day today. I think its because i been playing so much my reads are really sharp and my focus is good.... I guess ill continue doing it till i feel like i can't make the best choices possible. If I 9 table and maintain what i'm doing I will be back on pace for SNE. Enjoyed/had fun playing this week and realized poker is fun and there are a lot of random things to learn and consider that i have not yet. I just have to think outside the box, play a lot, not get rusty, be mindful(most important), stick to one game and be consistent. Thats it. gl everyone playing!
