I feel like with the exception of 2 epicly tilted spew sessions, I am playing the best poker I've ever played, both PLO and NL. Needless to say, I'm running worse than I ever have (not in terms of buy ins under EV, but overall clusterfuck of runbad >>> the time I ran 60BI below ev over 50k hands). Just coolers everywhere, keep getting it in good and losing on the river to fish, who promptly leave the table with my money, or punt it to some bumhunter donkreg.

Anyway, hopefully I'll stay on my game and not have anymore hugely tilted sessions. I've easily burned through a few hundred thousand this year when I should have quit and didn't. Hopefully I can continue to make a lot in EV, but actually win it this time around. It is really frustrating when you get it in 80+%, especially vs. the table fish, and you just know you are going to lose. That's what it's been like.

Disclaimer: ***My opinions, feel free to give yours but no need to insult mine***

Top 5 HU Players
-Jungleman12
-Sauce123/Sauce1234
-ike (luvtheWNBA/philivey2694)
-nutsinho
-OMGClayAiken, Isildur1

The top 4 are kind of a toss up, and it's hard to leave nutsinho as 4 when he's recently demolished both jungleman and sauce. However, he crushes 6m so doesn't log nearly as many HU hands/matches with other regulars as Sauce and Jungleman. He may very well be 1, 2, or 3.

Top 5 SH/FR players
-nutsinho
-Sauce123/Sauce1234
-0Human0
-gogoGoGoGOOO/ZhugeL1ang
-Tim0thee

Honorable mention to phounder/phounderAA. Something apparently clicked for him a few months ago and he's made more than almost everyone since then. Another honorable mention to RolandThetrault. He plays very well, I think most people realize that though.

Best CAP/Shallow Players
-Clockwyze
-kmoneyk10*
-I Scubba I/Suck My Ace*
-bemyguestbud

*Also exceptional 100bb+ player

Best Overall
Gotta be nutsinho or Sauce, right?

Most Overrated players
Want to hear feedback before giving these, but I have two very clear ones who play almost all 10/20+.

Most Annoying to Have on your Left/Play OOP against
-noluck17/hovz
-gogoGoGoGOOO
-Sauce1234/Sauce123
-oldjude

Biggest Bumhunters
-d_perignon/doncarignano
He gets the not so coveted number one spot for being a table clogging piece of shit. He just sits out on every high stakes table, and also doesn't leave even if it fills and there is no fish. He continues to sit out until he gets booted.
-insyderrr
-iplaypokeher
-kaintd77/retej323/IIlIOIIl

Any thoughts? Glaring omissions? Major disagreements?

This is about 3 months of hands (new computer) but not including the higher stakes stuff. I'm thinking I should play these games more, and I have been lately. Higher stakes have been really swingy and at times, very frustrating. Anyway, just a quick update before I get back to this homework I've logged a lot of hands in this time period at 10/20 and 25/50, but this is just 2/4-5/10. PS I lost a fucking brutal pot to a good friend of mine. 200bb deep 25/50, I call a 3bet and raise the flop w a gutter, BOOM hit it on turn, bet, shove river w 9Ts on 26872 (no flush). He snaps river and my heart sinks, I know I lost. He's got that 88 and a 20-21k pot is shipped his way Suppose I'd rather lose to a friend then some rando donk, right?

Crushing poker lately but today at a Major Lazer/Wale concert, some drunk whore fell into me and burned the fuck out of my arm with her cigarette. Awesome.

I haven't been getting much grind in due to schoolwork/social life. But when I have, I've been concentrating like I never have before, and the results are showing. I'm taking a more low-variance grinding approach as far as the stakes I play, which allows me to play more freely and be creative/aggressive in my actual play. I'm really digging the results.

Sorry all-

The lack of updates is primarily due to the lack of involvement in poker I've been experiencing. I played 11k hands in August and have logged a whopping 1066 so far in September. This is largely because I had to pack/move back into school, and then had to start going to class and doing homework I'm actually finding school a lot more interesting now, and have put poker on the back-burners rather than the forefront, like I did in my freshman year. I'm able to get my schoolwork done, get out a lot, and play poker when I feel like it (which frankly, is not very much ATM).

I am on a pretty solid run in the last 1.5 months.

I've been winning at about $4.50/hand due to dominating 3/6-10/20 and getting some reasonably good action at 25/50 and 50/100. I had a ~20BI downswing, almost entirely at 10/20HU, and almost all of that vs __FullFlush1__. He is a lot better than certain stats (aka huge leaks) would indicate. I dunno I think I just got tilted by initial runbad and did exactly what I shouldn't have been doing (don't want to say the specific leak...). I tried to drive the action to up the variance and run him over, and he just picked me apart. I'm really happy with how poker has been going though!!

I am still available for another student or two, so hit me up on here!

I am generally anti-coaching for obvious reasons. However, due to me having lots of down time, wasting time on the internet, or bullshitting with friends on skype, I will coach because that seems more productive to me.

I am looking to take a few more students. I can coach for HU or 6m and would be extremely helpful in both games. Sorry, no full ring. If you are generally game selective and want to start beating regs HU, or just gain an edge in starting mid stakes 6m games with other regs, I can be extremely helpful to you. If you mainly play 6max, I can also help a lot. I have an unorthodox style that will undoubtedly help anyone looking to improve their game. I'm sorry that I don't have much of a database right now due to having a new computer. But here is what I have. I have also posted some graphs in this blog, so feel free to go back a few entries and look at those from my previous computer (which is now dead, FML).

My current rate is 500/hr. You can get it for 400/hr if you book 10+ lessons AND pay in advance. This will likely go up, given that my availability will drastically decrease once I go back to school (28th). If you don't think I'm worth this, you are welcome to not purchase coaching from me. I can assure you, however, that if you are looking to get into playing 2/4-10/20 HU vs regs, and generally game select, or think you are giving up an edge in game starting, this is an absolute steal in how much your game will improve. All requests by PM please. Include relevant information as to what you want, stakes, and your screen name(s).

Thanks,
Evan
