He was leading turn light after checking flop and he isn't the type to 3b bluff so turn is ok, and river is an auto bluff imo, pretty sure he calls turn with any pair and folds on this river a lot, but he hits.

Seems I can't avoid it. It's happening less frequently though which is good. I've been doing quite well over the last few days so I think it hit me a bit hard when i started to lose because I wasn't used to losing. I'm no psychiatrist, but I imagine it's something to do with it. I'm only down 4.5k today though so that's a plus. I usually end down at least 15k on my tilt days. Won't bother posting hands cuz they're pretty boring really. Just me doing dumb bluffs and bad call-downs.
But I think I have to post this one! weeeeeeee

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while, but not a whole lot has happened really! Just got back to playing tennis a bit, I used to play a lot but haven't played in like a year. Was a bit rusty to start, but I think I'm getting back in form. Gonna be playing in a doubles tournament at my club which I'm looking forward too! I prefer singles, but unfortunately singles has already been.
Poker has been going O.K. A few ups and downs, but I'm on for a decent month. In the green at 25/50 now which I'm pleased about. Of course it'll be very easy for it to all fall apart, but I try not to think too hard about short term results. Gets quite hard sometimes though!
Here are a few hands that I've played since last time in no particular order:

I just liked this hand cuz he tanked the turn then called the river so fast expecting to pick off a bluff, and I hate it when I actually do have a bluff and I always think, "If only i had an 8 here, then I'd show him!"

O.k. so it's only the 3rd, but I was $27k in the red at one point on the 1st, so it's nice to see some green! I decided to play some 25/50 on the 1st, that didn't quite go as planned. I misplayed 3 hands in pretty large pots which sucks. I ran bad too, but I'm more annoyed at playing bad. I think I had a small case of moving up syndrome, I would have thought I'd be over that now, but apparently not. Or maybe I was just playing bad that day, idk. I'm still planning on playing 25/50, but I haven't seen any good games running since the 1st so I've been mainly playing 10/20 the past couple of days.
Managed to wake up at 10am today which was insane. The last week or so my sleeping pattern was getting worse and worse. On the 2nd i went to bed at 8am and woke up at 5pm it was pretty ridiculous. Didn't make me feel great either, and I had a feeling it was affecting my play. So I tried to change it round today and it's going well so far. And before I usually get up I had already been to the gym and played 800 hands! I was playing against a really agro guy hu, those matches are always fun.
This hand sums up the pace of the match quite well I think:

I have no idea what he was thinking he literally SNAP called the river shove, I have a feeling he thought he had the nut flush (which is actually the same as AT high here, but he prob wouldn't recognize that). Turn was actually a misclick, I meant to raise! But I def like my river shove, and think the turn float is fine anyway. He was an odd player that's for sure. Fun match though, we played again for a bit after I came back from the gym and I took like 9k (14k today overall) off him in like 300 hands or so. I ran really hot, but I know I have a huge edge over him anwyay. Seems like a nice guy though
I've been thinking a bit about the greatest ever hand thing that I'm going to write sometime soon hopefully, for the new forum that aejones has set up for leggo subscribers, just need to find an appropriate hand! I'll dig through pt soon and hopefully something will pop up. Although unfortunately it will be a lie, because this is the greatest hand I've ever played (but isnt very impressive from a strat pov):
I was playing one of my all night sessions. I've played a few now, they're not great for your br, but can be a lot of fun! This was towards the end of it and I couldn't see straight. I was just running on pure experience and "feel" at this point, was quite exhilarating actually. I was playing hu against someone for a while and the match was playing pretty agro, then this happened..

He was 3b quite a bit so i decided to play back, was about to give up my bluff on the river and just check/muck, but then the software (I have an option turned on to show my hand strength, because I suck at reading boards sometimes) said i had a straight! I stared at the screen for literally 10 seconds trying to figure out how the hell I had a straight, I couldn't see it, but figured the program probably wasn't lying to me so I just shrugged and shoved. He called and I took down my biggest ever pot at the time! Not the worse end to the all-night session. And hey, at least my instincts were right about not bluffing!

This is the last day I played last month...
and here are the last hands I'm playing this month
Last month I was planning on dabbling in some of the higher stakes games this month, but then the -28k day happened so I had to re-group and go back to 5/10 for a bit. I'm planning on moving up next month, then i get this on the last day. Great timing again! O.K. so it's not as bad, but still really annoying. Hopefully it won't postpone my shot taking. I can't really say now though, I'll have to wait until I'm not tilted. I think it's important to feel good about your game and have a lot of confidence before moving up so i don't wanna rush into things.
Sorry that this was more of a moan then anything else, just had to vent a little.

Hey guys, just thought I'd do a quick introduction. But before I do that I want to say a big thank you to everyone at Leggo who gave me a warm welcome. I'm really excited to be a part of the team, and am greatly looking forward to becoming an active member of the community.
I've recently finished Uni (Bristol), just about managed to get a degree in maths. I received the lowest one you can get though (3rd), but I'm not really too bothered. Seems like everyone else cared more than me. I lost interest in it and hardly did any work, I could blame poker, but if it wasn't poker it would have been something else. I don't really know what I want to do career wise, but at the moment it certainly doesn't involve a £20k/year job and that's pretty much all I'll be able to get I think. So I've decided to play poker for a while and just kinda see what happens. I still live with my parents which i guess is a bit of a beat, the plan was to move out as soon as I finished uni, but I'm just so lazy. I'll get round to it soon though. I don't want to move too far from my home town (Stockport) it's a right ****-hole, but I love it. Just feels like home, you know? First day back from uni and I met up with some mates, we were walking back from Rileys (pool hall) at about 10/11pm, and i saw this 13/14 year old girl passed out on the pavement, these two delinquents trying to pick her up and her pissed up mate frantically running up and down the street; I remember thinking to myself "ahh, good to be back!"
Recently been through a bit of a rough patch poker-wise. I was having a decent month in June, about to book a $50k month. Considering exams had finished on the 6th for me and everyone was staying round at uni til like the 20th, I was hungover most days and couldn't play, it was a good effort imo. But then on the last day that I was going to play that month I had this epic tilt session, and dropped $28k in one day all at 10/20. It was pretty sick. I wasn't as bothered about the money as I was about that fact that I let myself get in to the state I was in. It had me pretty upset for a couple of days, but I re-grouped and decided to drop down to 5/10 for 10k hands or so, and I've been doing O.K. this month which is good. I think I've improved my ability to quit which has always been a huge leak of mine. So I'm pleased about that, next step is to try not to tilt at all!
That's about it from me for now, take it easy!
