Alright. So here's the poker story since my last entry.
In short: I'm busto.
Longer version:
September through November 2008 I played a reasonable amount of hands
each month. Every month turning my small $200ish bankroll into about
$1k+. But you gotta pay the rent. You need money for food and
stuff. And the next month you're left with about $150-$200 yet
again. It turns out to be a never ending struggle. Since, I don't have
enough capital to re-invest the following month I can't get out of the
cycle.
In December I was just done. Burnt out. I just couldn't play any
more. It's like working in a coal mine and being stuck forever in it
without any real results for months.
The lesson here is this. You can make a living from poker from total
scratch (about $100 is all you need to get started), however it's a
miserable life. I've kept it up for about a year. But couldn't get out
the sh1t and move to SSNL.
My guess is that one needs some more capital to get started. Couple of
thousands. Also get a coach to point out some of the mistakes you're
doing. And start living like a normal human being. Not like me stuck
in a single room in the middle of nowhere (because Lelystad is cheaper
than Amsterdam

) spending all your life on-line just to scratch $1k
p/m.
Now I'm sitting here at my mothers place too broke for everything and
2k EUR cc debt wondering how I came up short.
It's time for me to get a job ... fukkkk.
P.S: Yup, the 100k bet doesn't look good right now. I need to win the
Sunday warm-up/million or something. Or can someone lend me $100k for
10sec so I can make a screen-shot with my account name having the money
and thus winning the bet
