sweet man thanks for the post. u goin to keep it up every episode?
Holy the new commentary is horrible lol ... i never really listened to them for guidance in what the player's logic was in the hands but I think a lot of ppl will be turned off by the lackluster new voice
In fairness to the 33 > QQ, the later raise with A8 means it's not quite as clear cut to just fold there in a vacuum. What seemed mind blowing though was the lack of importance given to the guy's physical tells. He was BEAMING with happiness, leaning forward (textbook), ACTED OUT OF TURN to get his money in, etc.
I also disliked the 55 peel on the turn 3way with the flush draw out and thus reverse implied odds and lack of direct implied odds on what would be a 4 straight board.
I don't know who this Norm is, but for a company like Stars who get so much right, they don't half suck balls at finding commentators for their shows.
Have Doyle removed from the table and let him do the commentating...he is quite funny and can share some wisdom. Plus, some vintage poker stories may make this quite entertaining.
Norm is bad, but the idiots doing the Million Dollar Cash Game make norm look like a poker/commentating god. I have never heard such idiocy. Not only do they repeatedly get the actions and names wrong, but they insist on inserting what they would do in those spots and make themselves look absolutely retarded. It's outrageously tilting.
QQ hand with Doyle is inexplainable and the 22 hand is a close 2nd.
Overall I was very happy with the episode after the line-ups and loss of Gabe were brutalized in the forums. I really appreciate Gabe Kaplan now and do indeed miss him.
That women is/played TERRIBAD!!!. Even if she knew the guys actual holding in the A8 hand it's still a very very easy fold. I mean my Buddah, stacking of in a 80way pot after the guy takes this line with the obv. minraise-is-nut-from-a-fish-sizing + that kinda sick tells. In Villains shoes I would be somewhat uneasy about calling down thinking that I would be drawing to 1 out a significant amount of the time. Also I think the 55 turncall is pretty bad. But hey, she must have done something right to sit there and be able play for that kinda money .
Saus, QQ is weird but I like the 2's actually. Unless we should still give her credit after previous blowups for knowing how bad of a blufspot it is AND figuring out Brunson knows it is a bad blufspot and therefor bluffing it anyway. I would call with the 2's in any case, thinking that she must be tilting.
