Before initially starting his bankroll and poker career, Kyle Moss had the same menial jobs as most which consisted of manual labor type positions. Although he misses the experience of having co-workers, he says he much prefers the lifestyle that poker provides – especially the money and freedom.

Moss admits that during the beginnings of his poker career he would “donk off” nearly $10 to $20 a week at Limit Hold’em. Over the course of several months, he spewed nearly $1000 down the drain. Admitting he “felt sick about it,” Moss decided to make one final deposit of $100 and put in real, solid effort to learn the game.

By grinding bonuses, reading books and participating in TwoPlusTwo forums, Moss’ roll began to grow. Without ever needing to re-deposit money again, Moss says it still took him a few years to figure out the concept of actually “working” on his mental game.

“I initially had a lot of emotional problems stemming from poker. Ultimately, I would end up feeling angry and irritable much of the time,” states Moss. It wasn’t until the help of Boywonder that Moss began to feel motivated to start working on his mental game.

Now finding his success at $600NL to $2000NL, Moss hopes that within the next three years he will not only continue to play poker professionally but transition into the next phase of his life. Whether it’s law school, real estate, or an entrepreneurial venture, Moss says he would like to “gradually remove [himself] from the all-consuming world of professional poker.”

Kyle booked his sixth six figure year in a row in 2012 and plans on adding to that streak in 2013.
