I've been playing poker for 5 years now, professionally for 3 years. I started out grinding the small stakes sit-n-gos and cashgames on the PartyPoker network while discussing hands with friends on the twoplustwo forums. I'm most definitely a student of the online poker community, and through Leggo Poker I look to give back to subscribers and potential students.
Poker is awesome because it's a job where you set your own hours, and however much money you want to make depends entirely on the effort you put into it. Not just how many hours you spend playing, but how many hours you spend studying your game, your habits, and how your opponents interact.
My forte over the years has been tournaments, even though I prefer cashgames. My online MTT accomplishments include:
- 2nd place in August 2007 FullTilt FTOPS Main Event
- 8th and 11th place finishes in the PokerStars Sunday Million
- 4th place in the PokerStars Sunday Warmup
- Victory in the PokerStars 2nd Chance
- Final table of High ($2k-1r-1a) and Low ($20+1r+1a) PLO 6-max SCOOP tournaments in same night
- As of the end of 2009, over $775,000 in online MTT winnings and over $380,000 in online MTT profit
My live MTT accomplishments include:
- 68th place in 2009 WSOP Main Event
- 305th place in 2008 WSOP Main Event
- Cashed WSOP Main Event both times in first 2 eligible years
- 5 WSOP Cashes
- 1 WSOP Final Table ($2,500 NLHE 6-max - 6th place)
- Norman Chad was 100% unable to put me on a hand in a "Jack Link's Beef Jerky Wild-Card Hand" on ESPN.
I'd like to think what makes me good at MTT's (beyond my luckbox) is my ability to play deeper stacks better than self-professed tournament players, and my ability to play a shortstack better than self-professed cashgame players.
These days I can be found in the small and midstakes NLHE and PLO tables online, aswell as the higher buyin online tournaments online and live. Coaching
I enjoy coaching smallstakes NLHE and PLO, and prefer 1-on-1 coaching to group coaching. Typical coaching sessions involve going over interesting hand histories from my student's most recent sessions, aswell as live sweating.
I am available for MTT coaching, but only via handhistory review. I don't think live sweats are a good value for the student, as I think there's too much dead air.
Contact me via PM on Leggo for availability!
