Not many people can say that they created their bankroll with nothing, but at 21 years of age Daniell has turned a free 50$ he received from an online poker strategy site into $40,000 in the Summer of 08.
Currently a student studying International Economics, Daniell began playing poker at micro-levels; $0.02/$0.01 FL. From there on he moved up to $0.05/$1 FL, but soon hit a snag when he hit his first downswing. Daniell after that lost his motivation to play FL.
It wasn't until he started hearing of a player by the name of Sbrugby and began reading his "Well Post" on two plus two. From there onwards he was hooked with NLHE; where he now currently plays 2/4 and 3/6.
Daniell has found that through these trial and errors, he has improved his level of skill with poker, but as he explains it's not always so simple.
Being an avid lover of travel, Daniell has found it hard to sit down and find the time to play a lot of hands at times. With the all the money he makes from poker, he just wants to use it to explore. Not only is his desire for traveling an affect on his poker, but so is learning to deal with large downswings. "I don't really believe there is much one can do about this, it just gets easier over time. You need to stay focused and confident," Daniell explains.
Through his trials and tribulations Daniell has found inspiration in players like Raptor, Dodgyken and Sauce, who helped him to be more creative with his game. He has also had various other players, who can be found on his AIM list, that have given him advice and support with his game.
With all the things he has learned through poker he hopes to one day become an entrepreneur and earn his main income away from poker. Although he does want to have poker remain an interest in his life, he hopes to obtain his Masters degree while living in another country. Coaching
