Post Newbie with some ??'s

Well I guess not newbie to poker. lol. Just got to say that I am really liking the forums although this is my first post, I do got to start somewhere I guess. I am looking forward to really utilizing the forums in my poker development.

One question. Should I be trying to read more of the forums that are higher than my current stakes (microstakes right now but looking up)? And if so should I be reviewing all the forums for max improvement? The reason why I ask is because I am having trouble applying concepts from videos and examples of higher limits and feel it has really stunted my growth as a poker player. I start spewing cash all over the place. Any help and direction is greatly appreciated.

Our micro forums are the best around imo. Definitely check out these threads.

http://www.leggopoker.com/forums/mic...orum-6071.html (has great links and info for beginners)

http://www.leggopoker.com/forums/mic...read-6070.html (tons of info in here)

http://www.leggopoker.com/forums/mic...-iii-8973.html (great to meet ppl, make friends, and most importantly fix leaks)

The higher stakes forums are cool to browse but most the plays u see are plays made w/ a ton of history between the plrs. At microstakes you generally don't get a lot of history as u may see a couple regs but most ppl you play for one or two sessions against and never hear from them again. Still worthwhile to look at higher stakes posts, just saying you shouldn't copy and paste the plays into your playbook. Cause microstakes is a world of ppl who don't fold top pair, sometimes middle pair, or even Ace high for that matter

Anyways, welcome to leggo and if you have any ?'s feel free to ask in the forums or pm me. Hope you enjoy, see you around

Yeah I agree w/ robby something that took me a long time to realize is that every stake/level plays differently. So you do not want to be applying every single move, or play you hear about from a higher stakes coach to your microstakes game. Just hang out with the guys in the micro forums, post your hands and be eager to learn, and you should be seeing results in no time.

Try to understand the theory behind things before you implement a move. Realizing the why behind things is more important than the how. ex. 3betting light from the blinds is great when the players are going to fold, doesnt have anything to do with the limits. IF someone is never really folding to your 3bets and difficult to play with postflop then you really shouldnt be 3betting light OOP.

I'd post hands, thats the best way to learn and look through others hands as well at the limits you play. I wouldnt worry too much about looking at hand histories higher up cuz its difficult to understand game conditions if you dont play the limit unless the OP gives a very good description.
