Previously only the LeggoPoker team could blog on our website, and there has been a lot of interest in each of them. Today we are proud to announce our "LeggoBlogs", which is simply our fancy term meaning ANY leggo member can now blog on LeggoPoker!
You can get your own, brand new blog on LeggoPoker, and its very simple - your account is already set up to have a blog (as long as you are a registered member).
How do I start LeggoBlogging?
Click "BLOGS" up top (in between coaching and rakeback, yes thats the one). On the left hand side there is an options panel and the first link is "Your Blog" and the second link is "Post to your Blog". Simply click "Post to your Blog" to make your first post.
There is also a "Blog Control Panel" which is the place where you can set your blog title, description, and categories to post in - amoung a few other options you can control.
How will people know about and read my blog?
In the BLOGS page, there are a number of ways people can find your blog. First, whenever you make a new post it will appear below the pro blog box under "Recent Entries" which lists the 10 most recent entires from all members. Next to that is "Recent Comments" so if people are commenting on your posts, the last 10 comments will appear in this section.
Further there are several links that will include your blog. 1) Total Blogs on the top left. This is a page that lists all the blogs on LeggoPoker. 2) RSS Feed. Some people like to read blogs through an RSS feed and the RSS feed on the BLOGS page is actually a listing of every blog post from members and pros. 3) The archive on this page is an archive of all blog posts (members and pros) per day. 4) Search - The search on the BLOGS page will search every blog on LeggoPoker. What will people search for to get to your blog?

This link can easily be posted to people on AIM, other poker forums, or anywhere you find a place to plug your blog
More importantly, if you are active on the forums you will certainly get a lot of blog hits. If anyone clicks your name they can see various things about you "View all Blog Posts" is one of them. There is a link on your profile to your blog as well. But most importantly is that on the forums I will be making a special icon for anyone who starts a blog so that any time you make a post and such on the forums there will be a BLOG icon next to your name which can be clicked to view it.
Why start a Blog?
We are not going to tell you what to write in your blog. This is YOUR blog, do with it what you want (within reason of course, we do moderate them
). Some people like to blog because they like to set out poker goals month to month and report their results to the public. Many people simply use it to vent and post bad beats. Some do not use it for poker at all and just like to share interesting stories. Some just want a place to write a journal so that in 2 years when they are the next aejones and have $233,000 months they can laugh at their $50 NL bad beat posts.
