Assuming that the stuff they say about him (bumhunter, doesn't care about keeping games going etc) is true, which I don't know at all and have no opinion about yet, I do feel that there's a big difference about trying to point that out and stoning someone for trying to teach people about love and "goodness". Now if he was a good guy whom deserved respect and everything (Ie: doesn't bumhunt like crazy, puts down a little work towards doing what's good for the game etc) and people said this things I guess I kind of could agree a little bit, but I still have a hard time comparing a Poker player to a Messiahs figure and love prophet.

Whatever, we're off topic and we both like the book, if you feel that I've gotten it totally wrong feel free to PM me about it.

If you do buy in short can you describe some of the strategy behind it and maybe talk about some other non standard approaches you may have, wither it be how you approach the lobby or buy in amount or anythng else you care to share

As far as hard work goes, in the pokerworld, I imagine him being second to none. He had a lot of influence over my bankroll considerations in my early career and basically made me refuse having a losing month by putting in volume (still havenīt had that). Maximizing your small edge, was one of his most imprtant messages. At the time I was thinking, if there was one single person in the world that I would want to bankroll it would be Dusty, because it would be a guaranteed, variance-free, significant return on the investment.

As I have mentioned, I had very little idea about huds and stats and red lines for a very long time. I was basically only into handreading, and mindfulness. This was my base. Getting PT3 (I always thought it was HEM, now I remember it was PT3), I became familiar with it and saw that that the red line was something I could affect (initially I thought that all winning players were losing money in nswdn and that players that overplayed hands were winning nswdn but losing overall - I thought a sinking red line was a good thing at one point, standard). I canīt remember if I was answered (pm thread please if you can), but I think it was around this time that I began to see improvements in my red line. One of the very first aha-moments for me was realizing that my red line could go up by c-betting less. Wait, what? Non-showdown pots can go up by less agression in some spots? Huge moment for me.
I was much nittier back then, but realized you could play 22 / 18 with a slow climbing red line by looking at some of the best opponents at my limits at the time. Another aha-moment. But I managed to fix it one step at a time, beginning with c-betting less and then experimenting with a thousand different other things.
yeah Im kinda confused on how the redline would go up by cbetting less on the flop, I guess by puttin in a fair amount of raises on turns and rivers?

I can bore people about the red line 'till the cows come home. It can go up by cbetting less on the flop when you're not following through on turns and rivers and thus c-folding later in the hands.
