Hello Ben!

Thanks for doing this.
What was your biggest downswing, and how you handle downswings?

Can you explain how you went about practicing this a little more in depth?

A lot of top players advocate shot-taking when there are really soft spots in high-stakes games. Correct me if I'm wrong, your style seems to be to grind the hell out of a limit until you've beaten it comprehensively before moving up.

If a game arose at say 50/100 with 4 regs who you knew were at a similar skill level to yourself (or slightly below) and one raging fish (-20ptbb in the game) - and lets say the seat available is directly opposite the fish - would you play in it? And if not, why not?

... also, how is your english so good?
No real rules on that, it was never needed. I was always much harder on myself for playing bad than losing money. If I felt it would have benefited me I would set up rules.

No, you are correct. I would grind out a limit until I was confident of being one of the best regs, that gave me the most satisfaction and least variance. So there was never any real shottaking as such, I just moved up without any apprehension because I always thought: "If Iīm not supposed to move up, then who is? I have cleared this level now." That and the fact that I was severely overrolled.

I donīt seek out that game today because it never runs and you canīt get that seat unless you are waiting all day, but if somebody sat me in it, I would play, every time.

Thank you; international english-speaking highschool in Stockholm, travel, english girlfriend as of six years, tv.

Sorry..... I'll try again:

So much is being taught about single opponents hand ranges when HU. But I dont feel enough is being taught about hand ranges of a 2nd villain in raised pots on turn and river when action is 3way. When HU I have a greater sense of "where I am at", but that confidence is deminished when I'm first or second to act in a 3 way hand.

So the question is; How do you get better at assigning hand ranges to multiple villains in a hand?

This is more about a future video than a quck answer in post.

thanks

Have you seen any of Tommy Angelos video on DC or read his book? Thoughts & opinions?

Why are you the only Leggo pro without a pic of yourself?

2) Any tips on how to get the most out of coaching?

Thanks

You mention mental aspects of the game being one of the most important things. For me, i'm more focused if I play short sessions, and only play when i really want to. This seems to be the only way i win money. However, when I do this i end up only playing 10k hands or less in a month. How many hands did you typically play when you started getting serious about the game? Did you ever go through stretches when you first started where you played a low volume of hands? Just wondering if you had any tips on being able to maintain focus while playing higher volume.

could you give a kind of outline/example of what you do when you study away from the table.
Any routines or things which you look at in particular.
Its obviously really important to improving and getting better but I can never motivate myself to do it.

You have mentioned before and now again in this "cage" about working on your game offline as one of the reasons why someone can beat 5/10+. I've been an MSNL reg for 4+ years now and I honestly have no clue how someone can work on their game offline aside from looking at the odd hand history, so if you can explain here or perhaps in a video exactly how you go about doing this it'd be fantastic.

Thanks for doing this,
nldonkey.
Perhaps there will be a video about this sometime in the future. Much of what I work on offline is not pokerrelated, but itīs relates to poker indirectly.

In regards to just looking at the game, you mention the odd handhistory, but imagine going through fifty of them in day, as if you were coaching someone, and then imagine going through a hundred belonging to an opponent you ahve respect for. And then doing the same thing the next day.

Just like in chess and tactics specifically (for those that own a chess book), you will be looking and analyzing similar spots over and over again, which is exactly what I do with my students, so when the situation arises and you only have 30 seconds to make a decision, this is a situation that you have a grasp on and you are comfortable in, as opposed to your opponent, who is seeing it for the first time. This is why we look and think about individual hands.
