| | Chewy in the cage... 4/5/08 Greetings Leggo members, I'll be in the cage for a week. I started playing poker about 2 years ago and got serious about a year and a half ago, unfortunately right around the time of UGIEA and Bill Frist and all that crap. In a way though this was good as it gave me motivation to grind because this made it clear that online poker wouldn't be around forever. I played over 200k hands from October of 07 through the beginning of January 08. I made myself enough of a roll in this time to feel comfortable playing 2/4 w/ shots at 3/6. At the end of December following my biggest heater ever, I encountered my biggest downswing ever, and after getting unstuck in January I decided to dabble in tournaments, which ended up being more of a transition than anything else.
After failing miserably at running good when it mattered, I finally had a 40k two day stretch in August while I was at turning stone casino playing online poker lol. Then I encountered another sweet downswing to the tune of 35k which was remedied by binking a score for 107k in November 08 in the FTOPS 1k event. Since then I've become smarter with my money management as the 35k downswing scared some sense into me. Now I play tournaments and 5/10 for the most part.
I expect this cage to last around 7 days. I'll be checking it a lot and as you guys know I'm pretty chill/lax/etc so I'll answer pretty much anything as long as it's not too personal. Just so everyone is on the same page, I do enjoy long walks on the beach and sunsets.
Let us begin!! |

| | | If you could go back to that moment when you thought, "hey, tournaments might be a good idea," and decided, "man, tournaments would be a terrible idea," how much richer (or poorer) would you be?
If you had taken up HU 6 months ago when I beckoned you to, how much richer (or poorer) would you be?
Who would win in a hu match over the course of infinite hands: me or Jimbob?
Who would win in a hu match over the course of infinite hands: Dani or Gabe?
If I play everyone on the P5s tournament ranking list except Menlo heads up, and I don't get to look at my cards, am I still a favorite?
Of all players in the Mid to High stakes community, regardless of training site affiliation or notoriety, who is the most underrated?

| | | Would you rather have three eyes, three legs, or three nipples? Why?
Why are you so gullible?
Who has rickroll'ed you the second most (assuming I've rickroll'ed you the most)?

a lot richer
hah, man, i dunno, i think u might have a slight edge - i know who'd get berated more
i went back and forth on this for a while, i dunno. i think i have to go w/ dani but gabe is a total sicko.
nah not all of them, prob a lot of them though. think about it, you can't randomize based on equity anymore, you can only randomize based on feel!
maybe kotkis? people who know him i feel like know he's a sicko but i don't think he's often talked about much. maybe lefort too. thing about being overrated or underrated is that the public(who is mostly railtards on 2p2) determines who is good and who isn't, and frankly their opinion is usually terrible. fact of the matter is so many people are underrated but i think these two are probably decent candidates for being the 'most'.
hmm i dunno, most of the people who are overrated are good. obviously that doesn't mean some of them are worse than they are perceived, but still good poker players overall. that said, i feel like although he's clearly not a fish or anything, foxwoodsfiend seems to get an awful lot of respect but from what i've heard he's not as good as his reputation would lead to believe. (pls no hu grudge matches!!) |

was born that way i guess, lol.
brother almost for sure. |

| | | For a small stakes player building a BR, would you advise them to play cash or tournaments, & why?
What do you think you do better than your poker competitors?
What helped you improve your game most when you were grinding in the beginning? |
