I have always been very lag when it comes to bankroll management, and usually if I'm playing a game that I perceive myself to have an edge in, and its not going well, I tend to go down with the ship.
Im not necessarily advocating this being the best strategy, but you should always just consider how the money you could potentially loose will affect you. Think if you will still going to be able to play your normal games / stakes if you loose. Does the ev of continuing to play the game outweigh the ev you loose if I loose a ton of money. For example I might be winning X-amount of dollars if I continue to play someone at x-stakes , but if I loose a bunch of money / bust my online account, I loose x-amount in ev by not having the money available to play with or I have to drop down stakes and I wont be winning as much as if I had quit the highstakes game.
I have had problems with tilt, I talked a little about it earlier, generally I will just take a break and try and do something completely non-poker related, sleeping being a reasonable option. I just try and be aware of how I'm playing and if i think I have an edge on someone normally but because I'm getting tilted or frustrated it's no longer profitable for me to continue playing then I'll stop. This is definitely difficult to do in practice, but it comes with experience.
