Default 4bet shove?

3/6 HU
$600 stacks.

BTN raises to $18, Hero makes it $60 with A K , BTN makes it $128, Hero jams....

Who here shoves and who here 5bets to $X (amount?)???

To those that dont 5bet, how much do stacks need to be before 5betting becomes an option?

How many people actually 5bet/fold with 100bb or less lol? I always thought it was terrible to do that, but maybe if the sizing is like 2bb---6bb---13bb-26bb/fold it cant be that bad!

putting in like 25% of your stack with AK pre and folding would be terrible let alone 5b/f even vs nitty range like KK/AA/AK

you havent provided any info on villain so impossible to give advice on it but as a standard looks fine

chewy 5-bet folds sometimes. i don't like to do it really, but obviously if it's part of my game plan vs taht person and works with stacks, i'll do it both for value and as a bluff.

thanks for this post but I think you misunderstood, .

Who ever said we were gonna 5bet/fold AK? Worst idea ever for 100bb's, lol. And even 150bbs or less, .

Just saying in todays games when we get 4bet here do we want to 5bet cib or just shove over his 4bet? obv. if you have a 5bet bluffing range then we should also be 5bet cib with our value hands but you also allow yourself to get flatted.

I was playing someone hu who 5bet/fold multiple times with shallow stacks (120bb's or less) and I just couldn't wrap my head around on that being a good idea.

for 100bbs he does it? honestly i wouldnt even consider a 5bet not being a shove for 150bbs or less. i should quickly add this applies to heads up not so much 6max.

aejones, when was the last time you 5bet to $x (not shoved) and had 100-150bb's. I would argue it should almost NEVER be done. Shoving seems like a superior game plan with your whole range.I know with reg on reg dynamic in todays games causes the sizing to be smaller and an increase in the number of cib spots. but at some point its just bad. cant put x% of your stack in without seeing a sd.

shove unless u have a specific dynamic which you have good reasoning for 5betting small. You will get flatted a decent amount and will be out of position, and equity differences between AKs and his random 4bet hands isn't huge
