Default Combo draw 3bet pot 200bb

Match has just started, we're unknown expect that I know he's a very decent winner on these stakes.

I'm in position without good reads. Is it better to play the pot in position or 3bet -call?

I would raise to 210 and call a shove, and be shoving the turn if he were to flat, although I think its certainly close b/w calling and raising here

Like d2 said, I think is very close and you can't go that wrong with either.

It also depends on your style and how you perceive he is playing you. At that stage I would probably prefer calling.

k thx.

I did dcide to call because we were chatting a bit about the new table (this is actually a 200bb minimum table at iPoker) not really aggro history.

On the turn a blank 9 came, he barreled reasonably small, 60% pot. I took another bet, risking RIO if he's boated.
How do you deal with RIO when playing 200bb? We often get better odds / implieds to draw to the nuts, but draws might get paid off less likely and in this case I can be underestimating my RIO.

Is it more prudent to just give up at a blank board pair? I thought his barrel was pretty strong because my call range on this flop has a lot of draws / pair + draws / stuff.

I would fold to his turn bet when the 9 pairs. That board hit our range pretty strong and he continued, also now that the board pairs he can be betting pretty thin for value and like you said the reverse implied odds could mean losing a big pot and not getting paid when we hit our straight.

I don't understand this logic. Since we only have a draw we are wanting a fold if we raise flop, so therefore isn't not having an aggro history a good thing since it should give us more fold equity?
