Post How is my line here? 50nl

This hand was just a couple hands after i stacked the villain and he was on tilt. Villain is capable of reading hands well.
I was gonna go for the standard bluff catching line but i tried this on the turn, im repping air here.
Villain was a fan of calling down his big hands so his raise on the turn looked f.o.s so my plan was to let him compound his mistake on the river if it was a nice card for me.

It can be ok, especially b/c people are more likely to fight for pots when it's 3bet pre. As a rule of thumb though, when someone calls a turn raise they look like they want to get to showdown, so opponents frequency of bluffing river goes down a lot in my experience (ie, they expect to get called)

I'm assuming you're multi-tabling if you just stacked him...

I don't see the need to 3b this hand, especially if he's on tilt - I'd tighten up my range a little if he was an aggressive tilter, and likely flat even if he was a passive tilter - it's just fine to call.

As played, I think it's fine. I think that if he's trapping most of his big hands, he's mostly perceiving your hand as something similar to what it is, though your hand might be at the top of your perceived range to him, and he might even think you have a lot of ace-highs or small pairs. Also, his raise is likely a pure or semi-bluff, given your read. And I think that the river card is a pretty great card for your hand and assumptions, though, also a pretty terrible one for him to bluff - but I'm not saying that will stop him...

I also agree with stockton and think it's fine to bet the flop, but if this guy is one to play kind of tricky and trappy, it's going to make things even more difficult than they ended up being.

I prefer your line, basically just turning my hand face up and giving him a rope to hang himself with. It's easier for anyone to bluff in the smaller and fewer street-ed hands than the big ones.
