Default 2000NL deep i want to turn my set into bluff

$10/$20 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

SB: $2,070
BB: $3,196.12
UTG: $1,419.75
MP: $5,757.50
CO: $5,659.87
Hero (BTN): $7,031.75

Pre-Flop: 7 7 dealt to Hero (BTN)
UTG raises to $52.50, MP folds, CO raises to $140.62, Hero calls $140.62, 2 folds, UTG calls $88.12

Flop: ($451.86) J 5 7 (3 Players)
UTG checks, CO checks, Hero bets $265.93, UTG folds, CO raises to $937.23, Hero calls $671.30

Turn: ($2,326.32) 8 (2 Players)
CO bets $1,000, Hero calls $1,000

River: ($4,326.32) 6 (2 Players)
CO checks

So here is this hand vs one of the competent regs on the site he is running 26/22 and should have somewhat wider range for isolating the fish(UTG) His line is really surprising - i expect him to cbet AA-QQ and top pair hands like always here. Actually cant think of a hand he will c/r on that board that deep. I think my call on flop is super standard. Another surprise is his bet on turn - basically now i put him on some really stupid hand that i beat or JJ(just the way he plays i think he will never c/r me with AA on flop or Ah7h - this should be a 100% cbet the way he plays).

Check? Allin? Bet small? What do you do here?

p.s mb im too confident about him not having something like AA or combo FD on the flop but stil..

the only better hand that might fold here is JJ so it doesnt seem like a good spot to bluff. Doesnt make sense to vbet either so just check.

i really think you should be b3b'ing the flop. his CR is silly but put some pressure on him if he has some kind of big draw. the only value to calling is if you think he'll run some kind of wicked bluff... and i just don't see him CR'ing the flop and going bet-bet with a bluff here.

once we get here i see no value in a bet and showing down that you're willing to just call a hand like this on a board this wet might actually gain you some future respect.

why doesn't it make sense to value bet? we have the best hand almost always.

about the b3b line - dont you think that it will be super hard for him to continue with an overpair(if he is c/ring it)? i dont think he will stackoff on flop with overpair that deep(he prolly will just pitch it) he dosnt know so far if i am able to call with set here or raise it - this is a rare situation. Also hes not a guy who does tricky things often(actually when i looked he has done such things almost never).

I think if turn is safer card there is bigger chance to make more money out of him if he has overpair than if we just reraise flop.

what bluff catchers does he ever call with? the only ones i can see making angry hero calls are JJJ (or the incredibly rare but not impossible 888)

you think he takes this goofy line with something and then calls with worse?

i think the chances he's randomly trapping or has a straight that he got in some stupid ass way and decides we're turning one pair into a bluff or much greater than the chances that he calls with worse or folds better.

i just can't imagine him taking this line with an overpair, but i guess it's possible. if that is the case i doubt he's CR'ing it with the intention of folding to a 3-bet.

B3B flop is probably best. If he's cr'ing like AA,KK I dont think he folds all the time to a small 3bet. If he has a flush draw he probably isnt folding to the 3bet either.

Flatting flop is fine... I'd consider raising that turn for protection/value though depending on how often I felt he has a flush here vs stuff like QQ-AA with a heart, random bluffs with a heart etc. Does seem like a really weird line to take though with an overpair this deep so I'd weight most of his range to flush draws/bluffs readless on the flop.

Not against good people. It's a pretty sick spot for him to check (call/raise) a flush against a better player who might consider turning a larger portion of his range into a bluff.

Seems like a pretty clear check back for the reasons others have mentioned: nothing worse calls, nothing better folds. There are some people who would just fold 100% of their range to take this line, but I think they're getting to be rare this high.
