How often are you firing turn here?
Villain is a standard reg opening a decent amount from CO.
Stacks:
UTG ( $1,263.70)
CO ( $992)
BTN ( $1,469.75)
Hero ( $1,721)
BB ( $1,072)
Pre-Flop: ( $15, 5 players) Hero is SB 5 5
1 fold, CO raises to $30, 1 fold, Hero calls $25, 1 fold
Flop: 2 K 10 ( $70, 2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks
Turn: 6 ( $70, 2 players)
Hero ...
And if you bet turn are there any rivers you're not betting?

I'm not firing, but if you do bet you must bet river (maybe not a river ace).

Re: How often are you firing turn here?
I would assume that he has something here but vs players I play against a lot I will sometimes fire turn/river with whatever i have cuz villain will fold a hand as good as QQ but its very player specific and gameflow related. IN general i wouldnt fire here with 55, probably with Kx, JQ, heart draws, mayb some gutters. And I'd fire rivers that dont bring a T or K

meh i c/f there are so many better hands in your range to be barreling with a ton better equity to improve when called, if you are always barreling river as well.
also there is a non zero chance he is checking back a hand like aj that he will check to sd.

this is v true. But lets say we have such a hand, like AQ, here; Ive started experimenting with overbetting turn and/or river. So far this worked fine for me, but I havent got a huge sample (people havent adjusted yet, might get ugly when they start to check back TP+ a ton)

Re: How often are you firing turn here?
I'm c/f without reads.
If I see villain checking back with 77/33/Ax in spots like these I like a bet much more. Also if there's some history with me flatting alot of broadway cards from the blinds and he knows it - that would also lead me to bluffing more when he checks back.
But like I said without these informations I'm c/f here.

Re: How often are you firing turn here?
fairly easy fold preflop i think. c/f all 3 streets here
unless you are doing it purely as a bluff, lines such as overbetting turn and river like theluskanater suggest are just pretty bad.
think about the mechanics of overbetting
betting pot forces your opponent to defend 50% of his range, whilst betting 2x pot for instance forces him to defend about 33% of his range. therfore you are not taking advantage of his weak range at all, you are actually helping him by making it correct to fold all the marginal hands he would be forced to defend if you bet pot. and of course it should work great if your intention is for him to fold, because he obviously should be folding alot to an overbet
obviously as i said earlier this is fine if you are doing it merely as a bluff, but as part of a balanced strategy it really just plays into your opponents hands

the good news... they don't know that!
bet 1.5-2x pot on the turn, vs ppl who check back a lot, don't tell anyone else, thank me later. they simply don't know how to handle that

all heart combos, qj/aj/aq/q9/j9
assuming a lot of his check back range is Tx or worse pairs, JJ-QQ, and some A high hands that are looking to show down, you almost always only have 2 outs vs. his calling range on that turn w/ 55, where a hand like AJ has a substantial bit of equity vs. a lot of his range. Also, there is a much better chance you can show down the best hand than if you have a hand with no pair.
