NL1k HU weird spot, weird reg
I'm playing two tables against villan, minraising 100% and he's defending only 34%... 28% of those hands are 3bets (i've seen him 3bet KTo,KTs,A7o,44), plays pretty weird overall, c/f,c/c or raises a bunch in spots where you normally don't expect those ranges, misses some obv values but later vbets uber thin, etc.
He can definitely run bluffs in big pots:
IPoker, $5/$10 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 2 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter
Hero (BB): $2,253
BTN: $1,014
Pre-Flop: T T dealt to Hero (BB)
BTN raises to $20, Hero raises to $80, BTN calls $60
Flop: ($160) J 8 4 (2 Players)
Hero bets $90, BTN calls $90
Turn: ($340) 2 (2 Players)
Hero bets $230, BTN raises to $844 and is All-In, Hero calls $614
River: ($2,028) 6 (2 Players - 1 is All-In)
Results: $2,028 Pot ($1 Rake)
Hero showed T T and WON $2,027 (+$1,023 NET)
BTN showed 6 7 and LOST (-$1,009 NET)
My concern is that i look cally, his image is kinda tainted after the 76 hand and the c/ship looks like maybe trying to overrep a draw??

Are you saying the turn c/r was suprise? Because you should have a clear plan when you bet the turn...
Anyway, call. He has draws + worse enough + you have way more often draw than this strong of a hand.

Re: NL1k HU weird spot, weird reg
Would he play clubs this way is my main question I think in deciding whether to call or fold

A8o is probably a fold pre just keep playing you will win money simply based on the fact that he is playing too tight from the bb no need to get in marginal spots in 3bet pots.
as played call he can be c/shoving tons of random draws.

Calling hands like this will prevent him from playing more correctly in the big blind, but may not maximize your hourly.

A8o in most of my hu matches is a 4bet or fold, only in few dynamics will i defened a 3bet. As played it's a trivial call.

Re: NL1k HU weird spot, weird reg
what is this guys propensity to tilt off? go on his PTR and see the big pots he has lost. sometimes in the middle of a hand i will go back to previous big pots to get a theoretical solution for a tough decision i face in the present one

Re: NL1k HU weird spot, weird reg
First, I like your line in the A8 hand, I think it's perfect. Second, you need to be defending a fairly large frequency of your bets to a jam in this spot even though the jam is nearly 2x pot. If villain takes a strat of check/shipping hands like OE+, FD+ there are both a) plenty of combos of these draws in his preflop 3bet and flop cbet range, and b) these hands have at least 20% equity against all but the top 5-6% of your preflop range and ~ top 15% maybe of your turn betting range. So, I would try and defend approximately 50-60% of my turn checks in this situation to a jam. I can't imagine A8o is in the bottom 40% of your turn betting range here, so I'd click the call button.
