Default Gold & Silver Bullion / Coins

Hi Guys,

I'm new around here and noticed there wasn't a thread on gold and silver! I've been involved in the stock market for the past 11 years I cashed out of the market last August 2008! Ever since I've been into physical metal only! No more ETF's, CFD's or Stocks! I could write you guys an essay on why but if your interested feel free to ask questions i'll post some links for those who want to do there own research! I've made huge returns I was locked into metal about 2 months before the crisis was announced in the media. The returns are a little lower at the moment due to exchange rates, I'm in Australia. Seabeast you quite rucky you live in perth! Perth mint is awesome my friends dad in Tassie orders from them! I buy from local dealers here I like to grab it straight away

I noticed that there was a thread on US dollars. What I'm going to say next is most important for you poker players out there with lots of excess cash and nothing to do with it. Aejones man been watching your vids we should definately have a talk I've a few ideas for you outside of poker! The US Dollar is gone guys finished! You want to be putting excess cash into physical metal now for your own protection! Word is the IMF is gonna start issuing its own type of reserve currency, The rest of the world doesn't want worthless US FED notes they are worthless, the value has been decimated and the global crisis was the start of the final decline.

As for property investing big no no at the moment unless you own the place outright! Whats the point of a mortgage when the bank creates the money out of thin air for you to buy the house and then pay them back money you had to earn no no this is not wealth its slavery! The mortgage industry is too shaky atm imo, to much worthless paper floating about. The real deal over the next few years will be Gold and Silver bullion and coins because it is precious tangible wealth, real assets! Gold and Silver mining stock should do extremely well also.

I can post more info if anyone wants to learn more for themselves!

So let me get this str8, you say we're going to have inflation, but then RE is a bad idea? That's only true if it's a hyperinflation scenario and food becomes the dominant player.

Just ask anyone who had stock in lehmen brothers inc. The U.S. has so much funny money pumped into its system just to keep it a float. Its all a house of mirrors.

Well, I 100% agree we're going to have inflation. To me it's whether or not we get inflation or hyper inflation.

In a hyper inflation scenario RE sucks because a disproportionate amount of a person's income goes to food. (over 90% of the average man's income would go to food alone) So a landlord no longer gets ~30% of the person's income.

however...in an inflation scenario, if leveraged, inflation because an investors friend. Rents go up, fixed rate mortgages stay the same (expenses like plumbers of course go up) but the landlord still maintains around that 30% mark.

So that was more my point with the original poster. Inflation = RE is a good idea...hyperinflation = RE a bad idea.

I would argue that we will not see hyperinflation.

Invest in BP and gold. You will be rich in 10 years tops.... Think I'm wrong about investing in BP (oil). Talk to me again in 10 years. Also ask any top economist. BP is the stock to buy. And buy it soon.

If the OP is still around, I'd be curious to know if you've read "Debunking the Hyperinflation of Peter schiff adn the gold bugs" and what your thoughts about it were.
