It was basically tiltbreaker, I had searched and wasnt able to find any software like it. Then someone told me about it. O well at least the idea was actually sound.

Fwiw, i have another idea and to my knowledge it has not been done yet, i need to find someone in the poker community to discuss it with. Working on that

Just thought i would drop in and give my bit of advice.

When I started my patent/invention I did research first then I went on to create my invention with 3D software as well as purchase a Journal Notebook (the scholastic black with white markings). I wrote down every part of my invention as well as redrawing my 3D creation in the notebook.

I then took that book to a notary of the public and had them stamp, sign and date the first and last page of the book where my writings ended for future reference. I printed off about 75 prints of my invention from my 3D software in color at the local print shop and added those with a date stamp and receipt.

After I had those things in order I took my 3D file with my prints on a burned CD to a prototype maker. All of these things went to a patent lawyer who then filed my patent paper work for me. The first of this process I did for less than $100, but once it got to the prototype maker the costs just skyrocketed into the thousands.

I've created a ton of useless software also that never needed a patent lawyer or prototype maker. I just rough drafted the software on paper and notarized it. Started an outline of the software with the general idea intact then got a guy or group of people in India to do the hard work for me. They got the check and I got the software and never had a problem after. Plus the software I created 99% of the general public couldn't use anyways. If I created a HEM type product though I would get a patent lawyer to finalize the details.

Check out freelancer.com for some good software creators if you ever need one.

I googled 'Tilt Breaker'. The software amused me. You have a button you press when you feel like your tilting which immediately stops you from playing (if your tilting you probably won't press the button). OR you have a stop/loss of x hands or -$x which when breached stops you from playing. So, you sit at a table with 5 fish for the first time in years and then Tilt breaker kicks in - FML.

Is your new idea a poker analytics tool that increases win-rates and gives players the edge needed to move up in limits? Hate to break it to you - its already been done.
