I made a similar request on 2p2, and I now talk with a guy who is a trader in LA. I mostly just ask him about how the industry works, how to get in, what to learn. He is pretty young so doesn't have all the answers, but its still pretty helpful. He sends me hands sometimes or w/e, but we don't have a formal agreement or anything. FWIW there are a ton of smart guys on the 2p2 investing forum (I think its the best forum on the site), so you could try PMing people and get some contacts.
Also, I was in the book store and peeked at Trump's book on building wealth. I think that type of book would be worth a read, since it goes over various investing strategies (real estate, stocks, entrepreneurship). I can't say how good that book is, but Trump is a real estate expert so his writings should be mostly good. I'm also reading "a random walk down wall street" atm. Its a nice introduction into the stock market and gives a big picture view
