Default 2/4NL AKo worth nothing :-(

Hello,

so I have a problem with a hand here. Villain is 22/16/33/1.7
What goes on my nerves is that I can`t do anything on the Turn also I got more than 4:1, what to doooo? He can do this with every damn hand, maybe he has AQs :-(
Could I bet/call 190 or something? Or is that crazy?

NL Holdem $4(BB) Replayer
Hero ($400)
BB ($742)
UTG ($330)
UTG+1 ($1,002)
CO ($422)
BTN ($544)

Dealt to Hero A K

fold, UTG+1 raises to $14, fold, BTN calls $14, Hero raises to $56, BB calls $52, fold, fold

FLOP ($140) 5 4 4

Hero bets $70, BB calls $70

TURN ($280) 5 4 4 J

Hero checks, BB bets $80, Hero folds

BB wins $277

Check/fold flop. BB cold calls your squeeze. This is never light especially considering the fact that the action isn't closed. His small bet tells me he has exactly JJ.

yea i'd ch the flop, i think. Theres not too much you are gonna fold out. His range is gonan be primarily 88-TT and AQ when he cold calls pf. However, you can prob do some math as to whether the flop is a b/c vs that range (can play around with the range) since u have decent equity wit 2 bd draws and two overs. Im on a mac now, so i cant stove anything, but id imagine if there are like some combos of AQ he does this with, it's prob pretty close.

I'd just c/f and hope he checks down AQ. Super weird spot, a reg rarely flats here. I expect them to 4bet like JJ+/AK for value and some random garbage.

Always insta assign a range of 99-qq to cold calls, with TT and JJ more likely than 99 and QQ. Then, when you understand this and understand that everyone else understands this, cold call 76s in the BB vs a SB 3bet and be literally amazed at the respect you get on the flop.

Or be boring and fold it, obviously

@grog

it seems like there is very few spots where people actually still get credit/dont bluff enough in 6m nlhe, and this is prob one of them.

Standard reason is no better hand folds, worst hands don't call, we can showdown best hand sometimes. Betting is fine here, esp if he seems a bit creative/spewy (could have KQs or something here). If he's on the spewy side check/shove flop might be best.
