Default 400NL: River line....

Villan in the hand is pretty laggy 32/28, we have a ton of history but not really relevant to the hand. I usually 3B JJ preflop since he is opening 35% from the CO, but since villan folds so often to 3B and the fact that there is a drooler in the BB makes a call better (at least that's what I was thinking).

I think flop is pretty standardish with respects to a donk bet. I'm pretty indifferent about the turn, not having a diamond in my hand is pretty irrelevant to me. My biggest concern is the river. What is your standard line in this spot when you get to the river this way? I'm constantly changing what I do. Bet/fold, check/call, check/fold?

If I bet, do I expect villan to really call with 88 or a 9?

If I check, villan isn't going to value bet the same hands that I listed above (maybe he will, IDK)? What hands does he have that will turn itself into a bluff? I never expect a big hand from villan here: this is a board that I will bet/3B with on the flop so if he has a big hand, I expect to hear from him right away.

Thoughts?

This is as situationally dependent as they come. What are the irrelevant reads you mentioned? How good is villain? How light does he peel the turn? What's the worst hand he's likely to valuebet?

I mean no ones really going to give you the best answer, given that he's lag and you have a ton of history, and ppl play weird vs you. Best bet would just to think of what he thinks you can have as air, and if it looks like you can have enough air in his eyes, then bet. If you range is percieved to be pretty tight, i'd ch/f.

I usually go for a checkraise here unless villain doesnt cbet these boards.

I think river is close but still a bet, there's just so many hands that he MAY call with that I think you just have to bet and see if he is going to call with 9x, TT, 88, etc.

check jamming river is ok, i think he basically never has a boat and rarely has a flush. problem is some people will just check back overpairs/A9 figuring theres no value which makes it bad as the part of his range you are trying to fold wont bet.

if hes a bit of a station i prefer bet/folding as he can put u on a lot of missed straight draws.

I like betting the river by far. You usually have the best hand, so force him make a decision with hands that he wants to just showdown.

Does he call with 88, 9x, and 1010? Maybe, maybe not. But I would say as a whole he calls with those hands more often than you value cut yourself.

i'd prolly just ch/f the river tbh

can't see him calling much, whereas he could have better pockets/flush

and don't think he'll bet like T9, cause what he's tryin to get to fold?

I think c/r is v sexy here, b/c unless u got a nitty (postflop) image u balance a lot of draws and bluffs (=u gonna get called down w/ worse A LOT!).
As played I think u should only ch the river to c/c since he can float this flop w/ gutters, bare OCs a lot which he is calling on the turn again (gutters and OCs might have FD now). If u check the river he might def bluff those hands and u can snap him. I think bet>c/c>>c/f
