Default AKo in a 3bet pot : Do you guys agree?

https://www.pokertableratings.com/re...ash=5740263784

Considering that villain is good and me 3-betting him, I insta-put him on 22-JJ and AQ+ and me being tight in the villain's eyes makes him put me on JJ+/AK with that 3-bet

And the flop comes KQJ with 2 clubs... So if I cbet this flop, basically he folds out everything except sets and rarely every 2 clubs or A10...So considering this board as a non-scary and knowing that no turn can really make my hand weaker than his, I decide to check back , which also adds some deception, because I would have to fold if he check-raised me here which he probably never will. So my main fear is that I want him to stay in.

Same story on the blank turn. And now, the river is where I try to make my hand look weak and extract a small value bet from his AQ....which I am 100% sure would be folded , had I bet the flop.

Do you guys agree with my thinking here or is the betting mandatory right from the beginning?

loosen up with the 3b otb if people are gonna put you on JJ AK. Also, villain's 3b defense range is prob off. Flop check is good, but Id bet the turn to get value from a ton of one pair hands, esp since a lot of his hands have clubs in them/equity/bad rivers

I usually check back this flop, but bet the turn for value; bet almost any river for value.

I think the 3b is too big preflop.

I don't like checking this flop back.. if u have an airball or a club draw you're betting it as well. In a vacuum the flop c.back might be nice, but this being BTN and CO I am for sure bet-calling.
Villain is defending a lot more than 22-JJ and AQ+. Besides, he should be 4bet-calling a pretty wide valuerange in this spot, including TT+ and probably AQ as well if you are 3betting him as often as you say.

Turn is a huge mistake, you're giving him so much freedom to draw to a better hand while you are always paying off one street and you might end up folding the best hand if the river comes a club and he bets it.

now back to your reasoning.
How does villain check/fold everything except sets and straights here on the flop? So many pair+draw opportunities, and the same goes for you. If you check back you look like AJ / QT and stuff, you should bomb the turn he's just never c/f'ing a K or Q there. Besides his OOP flat range includes a lot of suited hands (broadways) so this reasoning of him not having a flush often is off..
plus you signal that YOU don't have 2 clubs or a set. Villain might donk turn big and jam any river.. how are the chances you will call him down both streets if you reason like this?

I agree that his range from calling from the CO is a lot wider than what OP suggests but I don't like betting the flop and calling it off. We are crushed by villians range to get it in on this flop. I do agree with you that checking the turn is pretty bad and that we have to bet for value/protection on the turn and probably bet most rivers for value.

@pls, dont cbet this flop with air then. you an still get him off whatever he has on later streets pretty easily.Even checking back flush draws would be fine too.
