Default dumb play or river rat with AA pf

Medium stakes 1-2 NL game

Hero in 3p opens 3x with ppAA, called by button. (pot $16)
Flop KK9 rainbow - Hero bets $10 button calls (pot $36)
Turn 3 rainbow board - Hero checks villian bets $54
* I have a hard time putting him on a K with this over bet as why would he want to chase me out of pot, I put him on pp (hopefully not 9's or 3"s) Hero calls $54
River 10 (pot -$144) Hero checks and villian moves all in for $220 which has my $180 stack covered.

* I called after deliberation and time running out putting him on high PP like Jacks or Queens. Villian had pp10 and boated me on river.

* I think with a little more time (30 sec. is all I had to work with) I would have put him on 9's or 10's or possilbly a King wondering why he would push in if he suspected I had a K knowing I would call for sure.

My mistake was not RR on Turn or betting turn out wouldn't you agree?

Bet the turn for value, you probably have the best hand and he can check behind a lot of pp that would peel one more.

You don't have to bet the turn, you're unlikely to get 3 streets from worse and there's no need to protect your hand from 2 outer type hands like 1010.

I think you played it fine, though definitely don't re-raise the turn you're clearly way ahead/ way behind which = call and pot control. The only 'mistake' you obviously made is calling the river, but then against most I wouldn't fold either.

meh I think in a 1/2 game you're more likely to be called by worse than in a 5/10 game. I personally would probably just choose to go for a bet/bet/bet line and fold to a raise.

But yes in some cases you arent gettin 3 streets of value so you need to pick to streets to bet. I would bet flop and turn I think and expect him to check back river with almost all his hands except hands that have us beat.

Meh I think the opposite is true, for different reasons though.
