Default Overbet jam...ever a bluff?

I was playing 2/4 6 m and hu last night and had 2 hands really bugged me. mid position player seems like a donk and has been opening a lot of pots.

utg opener $1200
sb Hero $1050
villian opens to 12 to decide to squeeze w a10o from sb. villain flats. Flop comes 10c9x3x I bet 3/4 pot he flats pretty quick. Turn is 5c i fire 3/4 pot like $160 and he just ships stack. Is calling ever justified here for like 250 bb? Seems so ridiculous, i mean QJcc?

Then later in session i was playing hu 2/4. I open qq dude flats flop 965 rbow... villian ck calls. then ck jam on 10x turn for 100 bb...any comments would be helpful.

Hand 1 we need more info on villain.

Hand 2 is a fold barring more info on villain (which would be appreciated ).

hand 1 i didnt see villian re- raise much at all...mostly just call and barrel. Hand 2 was semi early in hu much so I did not have all that much information, but it was first hand he got out of line

So, the types of info I'm looking for are the following:

Hand 1: How many hands do you have on the player, what are his relevant stats, aggression, etc. Has anything happened in the last 5-10 minutes that we should know about? What do you mean by "looks like a donk"?

Hand 2: Is he a regular? How many tables is he playing on? Have you seen him before? How many hands specifically? Has he been 3betting lots, opening lots from the button, calling lots from the BB, folding lots on the flop, c/r lots, cbetting lots, etc. etc.

If you can't answer all of these questions (literally), then you aren't paying attention enough.

I rarely advocate taking the more passive option, but 250bbs deep, VS an UTGr, with ATo I wouldn't be squeezing too much. If I did, it would be on the understanding that the move would almost be insta-profitable from PF, and if we flop the nuts or something post then fine.

The catch is that 250bbs deep, assuming semi decent reg, is going to be flatting you an absolute ton, so it's not going to be insta profitable from PF. And, more importantly, making your life hell. As is what happened.

As played, I wouldn't be betting to fold this turn with the draws out, and it becomes a sigh call (whilst mentally reprimanding myself for the PF action).

edit: ok you say he 'looks like a donk', still don't squeeze.

Hand 2, basically what greg says. In a vacuum, it'd be a call, but we're not in a vacuum and all these variables swing it either way.
