overpair, weird spot, lots of options
no reads, ZOOOOOM
how does your play change if you have the Qd?
i was thinking about CC'ing a blank in a spot where i might have close to a 0 CC range, i think he can prob have quite a few SD + FDs or something. weird hand i could've bet more on the flop and shoved turn actually, even tho it's quite an overbet, there is some value if i want to take that line with a draw and his draws have lots of equity.
i feel like the river is might be an easy CF and he'd have to be calling turn much wider tha nhe prob is in order for it to be anything else, but what about other things that could have happened in the hand?
effective stacks ~700

Re: overpair, weird spot, lots of options
without really any in depth analysis i think he has it too often for you to do anything other than cf. other than your options i mean you could c/jam turn but thats kind of silly gameplan wise

Re: overpair, weird spot, lots of options
Because your bit deep river is definatley a c/f.
If you were 100bb deep I think it becomes closer to a c/c if villian can turns a bunch of his Tx hands into a bluff. (I reckon you need around 8ish combos of Tx to make it a c/c @ 100bbs. If you have the Qd probably a couple less.) Still probably a c/f at 100bb versus most players.

Re: overpair, weird spot, lots of options
Even with your assumed image I just think preflop is just a flat. Unless we have a HUD and it's telling us MP is super wide to open from there. Or if we knew anything about SB, like if he's a donk, since this info helps us to determine MP's opening range.

Re: overpair, weird spot, lots of options
Actually this hand is more interesting than I first thought. I assume we're squeezing KQo/KJo/JQo alot here and will be bluffing this river with those a tonne so if we want to be balanced I think we probably need to be shoving QQ here too. Otherwise if villian thinks about it he has a fairly easy river call with his Tx hands. Though in practice I expect villian to fold Tx alot so I still think river is c/f

Re: overpair, weird spot, lots of options
You might as well be bluffing if you are shoving the river. It's way better to c/c this river against your average mid stakes regular if we decide we don't want to fold.

Guess it depends what you think the average regular is doing with Tx on the river when Aejones shoves. What do you think the average reg does with Tx on the river when faced with a shove? If you think he always calls, QQ is a shove for value.

We need to know our opponent's open % from this position, everything hinges on this!
