Default using bet/check/bet as bluff line in 3bet pot.

i havent played a ton with villain but he seems to min raise 90% of buttons over a 1.5k mined sample, with fold to 3bet of 60%. he 4bets a ton so i dont think his flatting range of 3bets is necessarily wide though i cant be sure. is also really really floaty - i have seen him cold call an open ip with K4s, and his fold to cbet on flop and turn like 35%. he is decent winner on ptr fwiw.

so anyways, blinds 2/4, folds to btn who min raises. sb folds i 3bet KQo in bb to 36. he flats.

flop: Jd 4h 3h. i cbet 42. not neccessarily expecting to get ton of folds but i figure i can barrel some turns. he flats.

turn: 8c. i dont think its a great 2 barrel card since doubt he folds any pair plus some floats pick up more equity or a pair, and i would look to ch/jam a lot of combo draws/ top pair hands to balance my check folding range. anyway turn checks through.

river: Tc. i bet 116 into 158. obviously im repping Jx/overpairs that went for turn c/r. T8, JT etc. his hand looks a lot like something with marginal showdown value so unless he binked a T on the river not sure he will call. thoughts?

apologies idk how to convert on this forum.

Works better against regs than bad players. Even some regs will call you down light. Really depends how often you think he will lay down a hand like 77 on the river.

I would like to have 3bet history with villain before I try something like this.

However, when he flats the flop and checks back the turn, most guys have showdown hands here and not floats.

Also, trying to sell an overpair on the river is going to be hard. I can see a weak J, but that's really about it. Since there are many draws on the board, villain should expect you to bet your strong hands on the turn, so that's another strike against your perceived range. (fwiw you should be betting your entire value range on the turn, rather than c/r on this board since there are so many medium showdown that villains just pot control imo; I would go for c/r against specific villains)

With all of that said, I would probably just c/f the flop if he seems 4bet or fold thus far.
