Default 10nl: AK vs flop c/r 3bp

Villain is unkown but obviously bad. If he was more reggy and full stacked i might jam flop but i think i have to fold here? Anyone take a different line?

i hate my sizing here, i wish i had bet bigger so i could jam diamond, A and K turns.

Sizing is good, smaller if anything. Qx boards smash 'flat 3bets oop' range, and you just have to give him credit.

I dont like the plan to jam d turns or jam AK vs. a reg. You should probably reconsider that one.

I see players constantly getting it in on the flop etc with AK and every time they do it I think 'what a fish.' Ak is not a made hand, and if you're suffering heat on this board at these stakes you are way behind without an evil read.

Also as played it's just fine. However I think a slightly bigger cbet would give us more credibility and eliminate more bluffs from his range. Ask yourself what you would bet here with AQ and then bet about 1-2bbs less than that. Bet out and when raised fold without reads. Nice hand.

A ton of regs at this limit like to make a lot of small raises as bluffs in 3 bet pots. If i had a read that they would take a showdown line with a top pair hand here i think jamming would be pretty strong. This isn't something i'd try vs this kind of guy tho.

what is your plan on diamond turns? i was thinking bigger so i could just jam. Are you checking back and trying to get to s/d (folding to a river bet)

But you're ahead of a bluff so isn't calling better then?

@johnniepunani, they might be info raising a bunch of hands like pocket pairs, diamonds, they are rarely to have terrible equity vs AK in this spot. Having them fold is a pretty nice win.

Going through villain's hand combos by hand and not using flopzilla or anything really helped me feel 100% comfortable in this spot. Then it's just a matter of how often does villain call with hands worse than Qx if you want to turn barrel and how often does it have to work.

I think c-bet is fine but I check back here readless.

The frequency with which people call those hands is wayyy higher than the frequency they raise them...just sayin.

And any pair is 3-1 vs. you so I think bluff shoving is really bad.
