Default 25nl: Top 2 tricky spot.

sb was a weaker player at 78/7, seemed pretty fit or fold post flop. BB seemed reggy over 48 hands.

PokerStars - $0.25 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

CO: $26.24
Hero (BTN): $27.41
SB: $16.80
BB: $27.27
UTG: $18.20
MP: $25.00

SB posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.35) Hero has K J

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.50, SB calls $0.40, BB calls $0.25

Autopiloted the open like an idiot, should have made it at least 3.5x vs this sb with a nitty bb

Flop: ($1.50, 3 players) 3 J 4
SB checks, BB bets $1.25, Hero calls $1.25, SB calls $1.25

This seems like a clear call on the flop. I hadn't seen much of the bb but he seemed pretty nitty post flop, i think his donking range is pretty strong here also by calling i will keep the sb in more often

Turn: ($5.25, 3 players) K
SB checks, BB bets $3.25, Hero calls $3.25, SB calls $3.25

I probably would have folded the J unimproved, i think the sbs range is very strong here when he donks again but with top 2 i have a clear continue. I guess it comes down to raising or calling. I elected to call despite the 2 flushdraws as i think anytime i get stacks in on ths turn with the BB he is going to have a set. If he checks river to me I can value bet pretty comfortably having just called turn. Also again i can keep the sb in with a range I crush. Open to anyone making an argument to raise here tho

River: ($15.00, 3 players) 5
SB bets $2.00, BB raises to $6.25,

seems pretty likely that im beat here, i think the bb has a set almost always. I could jam but he could easily spite call and i have no idea what the sb is doing.

Ya even though its so small I doubt you are ahead very often, but you are getting 4-1, only have to be good 20%

agree with raising bigger preflop, but don't be so hard on yourself

flop/turn pretty standard. don't wanna raise turn and shut the fish out of the pot. river is pretty gross because of the odds, but i think i would fold just because i don't expect SB to be leading here very lightly even though he is a fish & the betsizing is small, so it's pretty hard for me to imagine BB is raising AJ or QJ for value (which are close to the bottom of his range here). either player can still have a flush IMO, and BB can still have a set. so yeah i still like folding despite the odds.

I buy that BB is leading a FD way more than he is a set based on his turn bet sizing. Don't think most regs are leading that milky into two guys with a set on that board. Agree river is a fold.

Am I the only one that thinks turn raise>call?

1. I think SB calls with a FD anyway.
2. SB might be a weak player, but if you call, he is getting the right odds to call with a flush draw which means he makes no mistake.
3. If you are convince you cant get it in good on the turn, there is still an option to fold if you raise and BB shove.
4. Generally I think you can get called by worst from SB thus its a vbet all day long. Especially since calling is like giving a free card to both players.
5. If SB folds to a reraise, he probably a) will fold to the turn bet anything or b) wont have a hand to call river with.
6. You might lose value to a bad river card.

If the other player was not so weak I'd like a turn raise.

River I agree with everyone else, it's a fold.
