50NL: How do you play AK preflop?

hey I was just curious of what you guys thought about AK preflop..

Do you always 4bet AK preflop or do you sometimes flat the 3bet IP?
Do you call a 5bet shove?
Are you folding AK preflop against nittier players?

I do not think anyone goes for a standard receipe . It always depends on your opponents, game flow, etc.. Even so I can give you a few examples of what I am doing in certain situations:

- when playing full buy-in (not deep) against a nitty opponent I elect to 4bet AK, especially if I'm in position.
- I will most of the times call a 5bet shove with AK if played against a fish, of course considering his range
- In a multi-way pot, if I am the original raiser and I face a 3bet and one or two other 4bet shoves, I will most of the times fold AK.

How long is a piece of string. You could literally write a book on how to play AK preflop!

but for generalisation,assuming 100bb stacks, I would say I am more inclined to 4bet and get it in OOP. Versus looser players who are likely 3bet folding I may elect to flat 3bets IP some % of the time to keep dominated hands in (AQ/KQ/AJ) which will stack off if they hit TP but will fold pre if we 4bet. If we 3bet an EP opener I am *nearly* always calling a shove - dependent on the villain obv.

100BB I'm never 4bet/folding AK.

I got an AK and all you mother****ers gonna spray ! So:
I think we're talking about AK off suit because AK suited I always get it in for 100BB except maybe the time when there's a 3bet followed by a 4bet and then I have to act... then...
I don't like 4betting AK ip, I like calling and getting it in on an A or a K board with a check raise.
I like getting AK all in vs people with a large 3bet
Sometimes I 3bet fold vs utg opener if he 4bets and I think I'm behind

Thanks guys. I know the question was kinda vague, that's why I tried to come up with some situations.. but was just wondering how often people stack off with AKo and AKs preflop..

Sometimes I fold AK to a 3 bet although this is the first time I have told anyone that.
